I sighed as I remembered Ash's weird attempt to make the school not depressed. It seems like something Misty would do. Misty Misty Misty.. my mind won't get off of Misty!

Honestly, I'm happy she left, it's for her own good. If she came back, I'd feel bad, so get her out of your head, god dang it!

Nope, not coming out, and I know why. MISTY. IS. MY. FOREVER. LIFETIME. CRUSH.

Like, do I have to say any more than that? It's factual now.

She probably doesn't even miss me! It's probably all a disguise, and she already has her sisters in college in their senior year or something. Somehow I'm still blib-blabbering over all of this.

It's okay if I miss her, I just need to try to not relate everything to her. I'm Gary Oak for goodness sakes, stop changing my personality!

I sat in my dorm thinking. I'm the number one swimmer on the swimming team, but something seems out of place. I don't feel like it's - me. I don't know, something that I had in Kanto that I don't have here.

I thought harder. It couldn't be Gary, could it? I mean, I miss him a ton, and everything I've been thinking of has been about him when I'm alone, but it couldn't be Gary. He's Gary Oak, nothing less.

But a whole lot more.

I sighed as I looked at my bedroom clock. Midnight, and I'm still thinking about a boy that was my good friend. I kind of miss his weird flirty comments, but that doesn't mean I should go away from all I've wanted in my life, does it?

I thought harder and harder. I got out a notepad on my phone, and listed out all of the reasons I'd want both things. Winner is what I'd do.

SWIMMING            |            GARY

•I've wanted it my  | •I think about him
whole life.                 | 24/7, never
•It's fun first.           | stopping.
•I get to laugh at     | •He's in Kanto, old
the newbies.            | friends are there.
                                   | •He could be
                                  | depressed too.
                                  | •I... I like him.

I admitted it, fine. He made me shine, and I liked Gary. I could think of so many more to put on the right side.. but nothing on the left. I wasn't so passionate on swimming that it could take everything away from me.

It's decided then. I'll talk to the principal tomorrow. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

I scrolled through all of the texts Ash sent me

I scrolled through all of the texts Ash sent me.

Ash: Serena, are you okay?

Ash: Why didn't you respond?

Ash: Did you get grounded?

Ash: Serena, please text back. I'm starting to get worried.

Ash: Hey Serena... we haven't talked in two weeks. What's going on? Our English project is due next week, and I don't want to fail because you haven't been showing up.

"I'm still staying strong with my input," I sighed, as I put my phone down on my nightstand. "Besides, it's a pretty good excuse not to go to school. I can just watch Stranger Things all day."

A.N. I've only watched the first episode.

"Here, do you guys want to watch?" I asked, throwing my Pokémon cards into the air, as they became Pokémon.

"Gardevoir!"

"Jirachi!"

"Ninetails!"

"Delphox!"

"Sylveon!"

"Pangoro!"

"Tyranitar!"

"Gengar!"

"Thanks, guys," I smiled, as I was glad that I had company.

That might've been the first time I've smiled in two weeks.
