"Hey, Serena!" Dawn called from behind me

"Hey, Serena!" Dawn called from behind me.

"Yeah Dawn?" I asked, turning around.

"The Pokemon Card competitions, they're back!"

"The Pokemon Card competitions?" I questioned, looking at Dawn.

"Yeah! You get your Pokemon cards at home, and you go to the after school club and you fight! If you run home you can go grab them real quick, then run back and enter!" Dawn explained. "You just need to make sure that you have enough Pokemon cards, you need six, like a real Pokemon battle."

"Can't I just sign up now and bring them tomorrow?" I asked.

"Oh, well, I guess so, you're really smart, Serena. You should also sign up for the Knowledge Club, every year they go into a world competition, and then they get a super hard math problem, and then they have to solve it, and if they solve it correctly before the opponent, their team wins! Our school has never gotten past the first stage," Dawn explained.

"Pretty sucky team then," I admitted. "I probably won't do that, I'm not that smart."

"But you get all As!"

"How do you know that? You've only known me for a day."

"Correction: 5 hours. We still have 2 more periods to go," Dawn explained. "Come on, just write your name on the Pokemon Card competition, if you don't do it you're known as a very sucky loser, worse than the worst loser."

"Okay okay, I'll sign up for it," I sighed, as I brought out my blue gel pen.

"Can I borrow your gel pen?" Dawn asked, and I nodded. "Thanks!"

A.N. I am well aware that the shade of blue is different, but it's all I could find on the internet.

"Aww the smiley face is cute," I chuckled. "Come on, we better get to Math class or else the teacher will be mad."

"Right, I actually have science, you'll just have to go down this hallway," Dawn explained, pointing to the hallway opposite from the math class. "The professor is Professor Sycamore in the science class, Professor Birch is the math teacher."

"Alright, they nice?" I asked.

"Professor Birch can be a bit strict time to time," Dawn explained. "Actually that's an understatement, just make sure you do the right thing."

"Okay," I said. "Thanks for the heads up."

"Thanks for asking!" Dawn smiled, then waved and left.

"Alright, this will be easy..." I looked up, and I saw Ash ahead of me. "Ash!"

"Huh? Oh it's you again."

"Did you talk to Misty?" I asked.

"Why do you care? You're probably one of those people who won't even attempt the Pokemon Card competition."

"What? I was the first signature on that poster!" I called.

"Dear lord, you don't understand anything do you?" Ash asked.

"Huh? What do you mean? I signed the poster."

"Maybe you did, but it doesn't mean you were the first person to sign one of the posters, I was the first signature on the front poster in the middle of the school, the most visible one by far."

"Ugh, why are you such a jerk?" I asked.

"Why are you still talking to me?"

"Because I care if someone is hurting in the world!" I shouted. "I just want you to be that happy person that was late for class!"

"Huh?"

"You're more dense than I thought a school boy would be!" I yelled, and then dashed off to math class.

"That girl's weird," Ash mumbled.

"I heard that!" I called.

"Sure whatever!" Ash yelled after me.

Why does that boy have to be such a stick in the mud? Not only that, but why do I keep on trying to cheer him up? I mean, it's pretty obvious that he declared himself depressed for the rest of his life. Whatever, I'm not helping this... ugh I don't feel like calling him that. Alright, I'm not helping this... guy anymore!

 guy anymore!
