Rosie's gasp was what I heard first. It was fitting considering I was feeling the same shock she was. I saw her jaw drop in the corner of my eye, the same time my pupils expanded. As if she was trapped in a daze, Rosie reached into my locker, but I quickly slapped her hand away, like a three-year-old not wanting to share.
I stuck my own hand in my classic blue locker. I almost wanted to snort at how coincidental it was that my best friend's name was Rosie, and how there were at least a dozen of that type of flower sitting right in front of my face.
My hands latched onto the little, white note sticking out the side of the bouquet. I had to manoeuvre around the thorns, making sure that I didn't cut myself. It reminded me that all roses had their thorns. Sebastian had his fair share of thorns, that much I could see from the little time we've spent together, but the boy is so precious and kind- and amazing in bed – that I wouldn't mind being pricked.
Is this romantic enough?
-S
I couldn't help but let out a little chuckle as I read the note. It only took a couple of seconds before it was snatched out of my hand, and right in the face of Rosie. The way she held it close to her face had me worried that she might poke her eye out with the corner of it. She studied it a while, her eyebrows frowning as it landed on the sender.
"And who might S be?" She asked, crossing her arms and holding the note out of reach. I opened my mouth, prepared to go fill in my best friend of the events that happened on the weekend, when my phone started buzzing in my pocket.
I pulled the phone from the confines of the material, only to frown when I realised I was getting a call from an unknown number. I basically hurled my back at Rosie, before curiously answering the phone.
"Hello?"
"Did I do okay?" A deep voice echoed through the other end of the phone.
"Sebastian?" I questioned. "Is that you?"
Rosie's eyes hadn't left me the whole time. She was staring daggers at my head and blinking, knowing full well that I could see her. I hiked the phone between my ear and shoulder, before taking out the Roses from the locker, and shoving my bag in there instead.
"Crap! Was I too early? Have you not seen them yet?" He mumbled.
I couldn't help but laugh. This boy was so precious and cute, and he didn't even know it. He was also sexy and dominate, and it had me clenching my thighs together at the reminded of the last couple of nights. Like Caylee always said; A gentleman in the streets and a freak in the sheets.
"They are beautiful. Thank you," I said, taking a whiff of the gorgeous scent flowing from the red flowers.
"Just like you," he stated, in a more than happy tone.
