A witch?

Caleb's POV

I stare at the water not wanting to look at Lock. I know he's looking at me, but I don't know what it is but I feel like following key's advice and just kiss him and get it over with, just have it mean nothing. But I can't just do that. I love Lock as a friend, just a friend! I don't know what keykey thinks will happen, but whatever it is she assumed is wrong.
Nothing will happen we'll just be friends nothing more.

But do I really want that?
I honestly don't know...

I stare at the water. Watching the calm rise and fall of the waves, I sigh and finally look at Lock.
He's silent, at some point he moves to the other side of the rocks. I get up and sit next to him. He looks at me confusion in his eyes "tell me the truth Caleb." He says calmly
"What do you mean?"
"Answer my question."
I don't know what to say.
I do love him but I don't know in what way.
I sigh
"I like you.. as a friend." I reply
"I like you as a friend too. I'm glad you told me how you feel"
He says smiling.
I smile back unsure about my answer.
'Maybe I do like him? he is cute...' I think to my self. No that can't be right! I look at the water again.
The gentle rise and fall of the waves calms me and makes me sleepy. But I know that the ocean can be violent. I don't sleep.
I look at Lock, he looks tired too.
"Lock?" I say
"Yeah..?"
"You tired?" I ask
"Mhm.. I wasn't a while ago though" He replies timidly and rubs the sleep out of his eyes.
I don't know why but I find it awfully adorable?
"Why..?" He asks
"Because I'm tired as well."
"What?"
"I'm tired as well?"
"Damn it key.." I hear him say
"What does key have anything to do with the two of us being tired? Is she like a witch or something?" I ask
"Yeah sort of.. she learned from a lady who used to come here every week and teach her. She makes potions but I have no idea where she keeps all her stuff." He says
"Oh."
We sit there for a little while in silence when we hear something behind us.

It's Keykey.
"Keykey! You ass what the hell are you doing!" Lock yells angrily at her
She yells something back that I can't understand but lock seems to. His face turns to a reddish color. Is he blushing? Or is he just mad?
"Key stop talking bull shit! I'm not doing that!"
She yells something again
"Keykey He said otherwise- Oh so I'm the idiot now? Shut up key!"
"What is she saying?" I ask
"That you told her that you like me. But key has been a rogue shipper ever since she found out I'm bi."
"Oh" I say as Lock yells at keykey again and I wonder how Lock feels about me.
