Legs

Lock's POV

Caleb stands up and walks over to me and sits down.
I smile, unsure what to do.
He grabs my hand.
I can't remember when the last time I was this happy..

Caleb's POV

He smiles at me, god he's cute..
I grab his hand, smiling back at him.
I love him, and he loves me.
I yawn, sleep finally catching up to me.
He leans against me, resting his head on my shoulder. "Sometimes I wish I was able to walk on land.." He says in a quiet voice,
"Why would you want to walk?" I ask
"Because I'd be able to move around like you.."
"I'd like to swim like you.."
"Hm.."
He looks at me. I look back at him and smile.
The sun is rising.
"Look.. the sun is rising" I say
"Mm.."

I sit there with him, watching the sun rise.
He stares at the water,
I stare at him.
I notice a small chain around his neck.
"What's that..?" I say tugging it slightly,
"Oh.. it was a gift from my parents"
"Really? Is it just a chain or does I have something on it?"
He turns toward me,  "you have eyes don't you? See for yourself." He snaps. I stare at him,
"...sorry I got it from my parents and it's supposed to remind me of keykey.. and what our names are supposed to mean."
"It's fine.. but what do your names mean?" I ask him
"They're supposed to remind us that there's only one of us and there's nothing that can separate us no matter what happens.."
"That's really adorable"
He raises his eyebrows, confused.
"There's a small key on your neck, and I'm guessing there's a little lock on Keykey's neck.." I say smiling slightly.
"Yeah you're right.. keykey has a lock on hers"

Lock's POV

We sit there for a while, not really speaking. That's when keykey appears. She looks worried about something, I wonder what it is..
"Hi keykey" Caleb says tiredly,
"Hi Caleb.."
I look at her, she's been crying, I can tell. I notice she's holding something; a small bottle is in her hand.
"Keykey, you better not do what I think you're about to do.." I say to her,
"I'm sorry.. please forgive me." She says before throwing the potion at the rocks next to me.
I Black out.

When I wake up I see Caleb and keykey leaning over me, arguing;
"Keykey what did you do?" Caleb says to her,
"What does it look like Caleb? I did exactly what it looks like!" She exclaims
"My question is, why did you do it?!" He yells
"I did it because of you! You'd make him happy if you two were together!" She yells back
"You didn't even think paying attention to what was going on did you?!" He says lowering his voice,
"What the hell do you mean?"
"I told him I fucking loved him! And he told me he loves me!!" Caleb shouts at keykey,
She's silent
"Well, I messed up big time. Now lock and I are stuck like this for who knows how long.."
"What do you mean" I say, looking up at them.
Caleb's face turns red, keykey laughs.
I sit up, and notice my tail is gone.
"Keykey.. what did you do...?" I say slowly,
"Gave us legs.. and different tails" She says, smirking.
I groan.
"Do you want me to find you guys some actual clothes?" Caleb asks
"Yes please." Keykey says happily.
"Alright.. I'll be back."

Caleb gets up and walks to the machine, and sets off for the land.
I look at keykey.
"What the hell keykey!" I exclaim angrily,
"Hey, calm down Lock. I'm stuck like this too. I'm just as upset as you." She says calmly, it makes me mad.
"How can you be so calm about this?!"
"Because I know you'll be happy once you calm down, you're going to walk on land.. once we figure out how to use our legs"
She says smiling.
I glare at her, but she just looks toward land. Somethings off about her, she looks, concerned, scared even.
I sit and wait.

Caleb's POV

What did keykey do?
how did she just make her brother and herself have legs?
And why were they wearing swimsuits?
I sigh, I still don't understand how their family works.
When I arrive at the docks, I climb out and run to the closest clothing store.
I buy the first things that look like they'd look normal on Lock and Keykey.
I hope they fit them.
As I run to the docks, I pass a group of 3 people that look very out of place; two walking behind the third, the one on the right is skinny and short; wearing all black her hair is a purplish dark brown.
The one on the left is tall, and has dark hair, she's dressed in bright colors. She looks like Dora or a toddler.
The one in front, as I'm guessing, is the boss, she wears a white trench coat with tall black boots and jeans, along with a mask that covers her mouth. She's shorter than the others, judging by her boots which lift her quite a few inches off the ground.
I run past them, trying not to stare, and proceed to go back to the docks.

The three new characters were asked for by my friend UnusualToad also know as Anniku. The first one is supposed to be me because she said I'd be one of her assistants, the second one is my friend Ro I think I nailed her description. And Anniku is the last one, we decided that she's going to be an evil scientist.
