The following day, Noah watched Leigh pack up as usual; bundling, organising and shuffling her things back into her bag. But Leigh did something different that day. A bag of Doritos accompanied her note.

Noah thanked the gods for creating Leigh.

As soon as she left, Noah walked over to the table, grabbed the note and the chips, and sat back in his seat. Before he absorbed Leigh's messy cursive, he threw the Doritos into his bag. Although he was hungry, he had to be careful. Leigh would eventually want more to his identity than his book and music taste.

Until then, Noah was living the thrill of being a mystery.

Okay, okay. Admittedly, he was just extremely shy.

But he wasn't going to confess that to Leigh.

Hell, he couldn't even confess it to himself.

Noah shook his head and opened the note, a smile breaking out before he even started reading.

Noah, are you telling me you're a fictional character?

It's okay if you are, really.

Fictional guys are totally my type.
