Being in Florida for a good 2 weeks, Bucky and I had found a small apartment in a crappy building. The owner was very keen on someone renting it out that we only paid 50 a week to stay. It wasn't much of an apartment with just a mattress on the floor. A small crappy kitchen and a bathroom in the corner. It was better than nothing though. The door unlocked and Bucky made his way through.

"Did you get what I asked for?" I asked he held up a bag inside was chicken and some spices.  I nodded smiling as he placed the few bags he had on the counter. We both got to work on sorting the food out. "So, I was thinking. We shouldn't stop training because we are on the run. We should be sparring to keep up our reflexes." I said looking at him, much like the 2 weeks, Bucky barely said anything. Curtly nodding his head. I sighed but turned away. I looked back at Bucky to see his eyes blank. He stumbled back his back hitting the counter.

"Bucky? Are you okay?" I asked putting down the bottle in my hand. "Buck?" I called once more walking in front of him with my hand resting on his arm though it was like he was looking right through me. "Bucky? Do you remember something?" Tears welled up in his eyes as he looked at me before nodding. "What do you remember?" The question passed my lips

"My mother. I remember her in the kitchen cooking for me and my siblings." I smiled slightly

"That sounds like a good memory," I said he nodded a small, barely their smile graced his lips

"She was beautiful, I remembered how she would always call me to the kitchen and say 'James, how is Steven, someone fattens him up yet?' every day without fail even though she knew the answer. She had a smile that reached her eyes. She would tie her hair up in a bun and it would fall in her eyes when she cooked." I smiled at that

"What was her name." Bucky looked deep in thought as he tried to remember.

"Winifred. Winifred Barnes. She went by Winnie though" My smile grew large as I looked at him in happiness.

"This is great Bucky!" He smiled a real smile. The dimples on his cheeks made me swoon, his normally sad blue eyes shined like the crystal. "You should smile more," I said before I bit my tongue he looked down, a little ting of scarlet crossed his cheeks. I bit my lip as he looked back up. His hair falling into his face. Lifting my hand up to push the brown lock from his eyes. My brown eyes locked with his blue eyes. My hand resting on his cheek with his hand on my hip. We were brought out of our stare when a bang at the door sounded.

We jumped but subsequently looked at one another. I opened the drawer pulling out a gun that sat next to our plastic spoons. Loading the chamber I made my way to the door. Looking through a peephole to see an older woman. Sighing I shoved the weapon in the waistband of my pants and opened the door. She smiled at me widely. "Hello. I live down the hall and I saw that we got some new neighbours. Thought I'd come over to welcome you guys. I'm June." I smiled kindly

"Hello, I'm Ali and that's my husband Demetri," I spoke using the made up names so that our roots didn't bury deep here. Bucky waved slightly "thank you June. I'm sorry to cut this short, we were just about to prepare dinner and get ready to go to bed." She took the hint nodding before shooting me one last smile and turning to continue down the hall. I shut the door and locked it. I looked back to Bucky and bit my lip before rushing to the kitchen to make dinner.
