Authors Note: I’m going to go ahead and apologize. I usually try to make my stories as universal as I can so that every reader can fit the story into their lives, but unfortunately this WON’T be the case for this chapter. It will feature our Kookie as a transfer student, and I will refer to the country that the reader is in as a country that primarily speaks english. I know this isn’t true for everyone, so I wanted to apologize. This won’t happen often if ever again, but I did want to write at least one chapter with Jungkook’s adorable english. Also, this scenario actually came to me in a dream and it was like the best day of my life so yeah. I couldn’t skip it.
P.S. THIS CHAPTER WILL BE LONG. BUT THAT’S OK BECAUSE HE HAD THE SHORTEST CHAPTER AND ENDING IN THE CURSED AU. JUSTICE FOR JUNGKOOK!
Description: Jungkook is a transfer student that moved in over the summer with your next door neighbors. Your parents and neighbors push your friendship with him so that he will have at least one friend to start out the school year with, but at the beginning you aren’t sure how you feel about him. He’s very shy and not amazing at english, so the communication between you two is rough. Eventually though, you get used to his presence and although he’s still shy around most of the other kids your age, he always looks to you for comfort while you look to him as someone who will actually understand you, and not just in the sense of communication.
(Y/N)= Your Name
(Y/C)= Your Country
(E/N)= Enemy’s Name (Female)

~~~“H-Hello, my name is Jungkook,” the boy in front of you spoke shyly with an accent, holding out a hand for you to shake. This was the first time you ever met him.
The older couple from next door had decided to take in the Korean transfer student out of loneliness when the last of their children had moved out. They were good friends with your parents, so, under the watchful eyes of both pairs, they introduced the two of you immediately.
“(Y/N), take his hand,” Your mother urged. You honestly felt the situation to be a little ridiculous. They were treating the two of you as if it were a toddler playdate. You were in high school for crying out loud! You knew how to shake someone's hand!
“(Y/N),” You told him, gently grasping his warm and larger hand in yours as you introduced yourself to him. He was undeniably good looking, which honestly made you frown a little. You were used to ‘good looking’ people looking down to you and treating you like garbage. Ah yes, highschool life was just fantastic.
You were actually a bit of a loner and didn’t really have any friends, which was OK with you. You didn’t really want to be friends with anyone from your school anyway. Your mom had carefully informed you before Jungkook’s visit that you would have to help him make friends and feel comfortable when school started. In other words she wanted you to hand him to the wolves and become corrupted by the heathens.
“You kids should get to know each other a little before dinner,” Your neighbor spoke with a smile, ushering her husband and your parents out of the room so that the two of you could be alone.
“So uh… how is (C/N) compared to Korea?” You immediately asked half heartedly, unsure of how to talk to the boy in front of you but wanting to fill the silence.
“Different,” He answered quietly, voice wavering slightly.
Jungkook looked very uncomfortable and shifted in nervousness, eyes flickering towards you ever so often as he looked at down at his trembling hands.
