Namjoon had never moved so quickly in his entire life. If time itself had slowed down, every action he proposed would have been at normal speed as his hyper aware need for what he knew he had to do kicked in.
He saw the fear glint in your eyes and his heart ached slightly with the knowledge that even though he had told you to trust him, you were still slightly afraid of him.
"Namjoon... please don't..."
Your words echoed in his ears before his finger hovered over the trigger; slightly applying pressure tauntingly as he felt the heavy gaze of the commanding officer on his form. A slow breath came from him as time slowed down and he raised the tazer gun ever so slightly upwards...
and pulled the trigger.
You screamed as a flash of electricity flickered past your vision before hitting a certain spot in the ceiling. The main power and every other function regarding wireless or streaming of electricity all functioned from this main hub; and Namjoon watched for only a split second as a sort of electric pop was heard and the lights of the entire jail went out.
There was no time at all for Namjoon to hesitate or waste any precious moments staring ahead at the darkness. His hand made it's way to his belt and he pulled out his tranquilizer; turning towards the disappearing form of the commanding officer and pulling it's trigger right before the lights went out completely.
Namjoon heard the thump of his paralyzed body hitting the floor and quickly pulled out his electric key; inserting it into the door of your cell right as alarms began blaring throughout the prison.
"(Y/N)!" He yelled your name over the alarms and held his hand out in the darkness; knowing your eyes could see in the dark even though his couldn't.
You quickly took his hand and he pulled you close; you gasping lightly as he slid on his night vision glasses and took out another sort of key. He placed it in your collar and you felt the weight of the cold metal you had been so used to fall off; you now free.
There was no time to linger in this feeling. Immediate voices and footsteps came pounding down the hallway; Namjoon grabbing your hand before spiriting and tugging your shocked form along.
"Namjoon?!" You stammered over the alarms, still not completely comprehending what had just happened. He shushed you and you shut your mouth; simply strengthening your grip on his large and protective hand. Yours trembled lightly from adrenaline before he pulled you around a corner to see an employee's only door. You had never seen this before and pouted slightly when Namjoon inserted his card and the door unlocked, revealing a staircase that he quickly pulled you up before reaching another door that also required his card.
Your heart beat rapidly as your ears picked up the ever closer sounds of footsteps before Namjoon pulled you into the sunlight; it blinding you for a moment. He didn't give you time to adjust and took off once more; you squeaking in surprise as he tugged so harshly.
