I can't believe I actually got the stupid thing made. It was going to be a Christmas gift for Mrs. Weasley, it took a while but I thought it would be ready by then. I was very wrong.

I waited for at least two years after the war and after Fred had died to have it made. I didn't know that a moving portrait of the jokester would take over a year!

This Christmas, I decided, that's when I'm going to take it to her.

It's February.

April 1st.

Their birthday.

Surprisingly enough I said happy birthday to Fred, who has been hanging on my wall for two months. He had a good laugh saying that he would hug me if he could while making a bunch of jokes about what he would do if he were real. It hurt my heart really, seeing one of my best friends stuck simply as a portrait and never as anything else.

Our jokes died down and Fred asked me something that caught me off guard a bit.

"How long have you been in love with George?" He asked and I nearly chocked on my water.

"I'm sorry?" I asked while hoping that I may have simply heard him wrong.

"You heard me. I may be a painting but I'm not stupid." He stated.

"I have no idea what you're on about." I nervously laughed out.

"You know exactly what I'm on about now answer the question." He stated more firmly this time.

"6th year." I whispered out, hoping not to be heard.

"I'm sorry, I couldn't quite hear you. I don't have any extendable ears you see."

"6th year Fred, that's how long. Since 6th year." I said louder this time.

"And you never did anything about it?!" I didn't know if he was angry or just disappointed but I didn't like when he raised his voice, even if he was just a picture.

"No, no I didn't." I sighed. "I couldn't do anything, I couldn't lose the two of you as friends because I wasn't able to stop myself from falling for George. So yeah Fred I never did anything about it because I valued my friends more than some stupid crush!" I began raising my voice at some point and I forgot when but I was ready to just leave when Fred said something else.

"He loves you too." His voice was quiet, like it was something he wasn't supposed to say, and I suppose it wasn't.

"What?" I knew exactly what he said I just needed a confirmation.
