SUMMARY :
One night when Josephine Millard was taking random pictures for her last minute news article, she accidentally takes a photo of Spider-Man unmasking his face, revealing his secret identity. Deciding between exposing Spider-Man for a juicy news article or leaving the young teen alone, Joey decides to blackmail Peter Parker, the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, so she could pass math with Peter's homework. But while in the process of blackmailing Peter, Joey gets herself into trouble with crime and the new villain, the Vulture.

- Joey dyes her hair a lot so her hair color can change through out the book
- the night Joey captures Peter revealing his identity, she was taking pictures of the beaten down park that she was writing an article on and accidentally caught Peter in the act
- she shows Peter the pictures that she took by putting them in his locker and putting her initials on the back, she later confronts him at school and offers him a deal

- Joey is a journalist for her local high school, Midtown
- Joey loves to write and takes photos but she's an expert at procrastinating so she usually does everything last minute
- later on, when Joey was trying to get a picture of something for her upcoming article, she ends up in danger and Peter tries to save her
- Joey is very shy but also very blunt and sassy and very stubborn when it doesn't go her way
- tries to see the good in everyone
- her parents are deaf and they use sing language and sometimes they write each other letters/notes

- Joey is horrible at geometry so that's why she makes Peter do her homework
- ^^ she ends up understanding the material a few weeks into blackmailing Peter, but continues to blackmail Parker because she didn't have any friends and she likes his company
- Peter ends up hating her at first but then gradually starts to warm up to her once he understands her situation
- Peter and Joey end up to be really good friends and nothing but friends
