Nishinoya Yū || Friendzone

"Will you go out with me?" 

"No." 

Nishinoya froze instantly after hearing your straight answer, beginning to whine after he calmed down again.

"But why [f/n]-chan?"

You couldn't help but laugh at your best friend.

"Isn't it obvious? You're my best friend since we were still in swaddling clothes. You're like a little brother to me. And in addition to that, I'm not in love with you and neither are you with me. You just want to have a girlfriend."

He pouted at you, which made you laugh even harder. 

"That's not true! I'm really in love with you, [f/n]-chan!-hey could you please stop laughing at me?"

"No, you aren't. You like Shimizu-senpai, don't you?" Your laughter was replaced by a teasing smirk.

"N-not anymore! I just told you that I like you, didn't I?" He said quietly, while his brown eyes were looking at the ground. 

"Wait, you are really serious about that?" You still doubted his sudden confession.

"That's what I'm trying to tell you!" The libero blushed heavily.

You've never seen him like this before.

"Yū, that doesn't change the fact that I'm not in love wi-"

"Then I will make you fall in love with me!" He interrupted you, making you sigh.

"Fine fine, just try it." You didn't know yet what you were getting yourself into.

The short guy in front of you just smirked, already thinking of ways to make you fall for him.

"What are you already doing here, Yū?" You had opened the door, only to see an already energetic Nishinoya in front of you.

"From today on I will pick you up and go home with you every day!" He grinned at you.

A sigh came out of your mouth. Shaking your head, you went inside the house, pointing him to follow you.

"You already know where you can find everything, so make yourself comfortable here while I finish preparing for school." You said while heading to the stairway.

Your head hurt only from the thought that this would repeat every morning, but you couldn't help but smile at the sight of him trying so hard to make you feel the same as him.

"This will be really exhausting." You mumbled to yourself.

"Open your mouth, [f/n]-chan."

"Y-Yū, what are you doing?" Your [e/c] eyes focused on the spoon in front of you.

Your best friend was smiling broadly. 

"I want to feed you of course!"

Your cheeks reddened heavily out of embarrassment. The fact that his team mates were laughing made it even worse.

"Please stop with that, it's embarrassing!" You just wanted to disappear. A month has passed after he confessed to you and he hadn't done anything so far as to accompany you to school and back and sometimes he would be a bit too overprotecting, telling everyone that you were his and that they should stay away from you, but now he was exaggerating a bit.

The libero was looking at you, confused, not knowing what he did wrong. He then looked at Tanaka, who only gave him an energetic thumbs up, so he tried to make a second attempt.
