TWENTY-SEVEN

"Nandani!Go and see Manik! Pta nhi adhe ghante se konse kapre badal raha hai ye larka!"Mami ji shook her head while arranging dining table and I nodded while keeping the bowl of spaghetti in between.

Actually it's been thirty minutes since Manik has gone for change.Its time for dinner and still he hasnt come out even after earning several yells from Mami ji.

"Manik!"I entered in our room and my eyes stopped at the man sleeping carelessly on the bed,all in his office attire.
He was laying half on the bed on his tummy whereas his legs were hanging in air.

Sighing with a smile I moved towards him.

"Manik!"I called him softly but he looked fast asleep.His ajar mouth looked so adorable at the moment.

My eyes caught his foot which were still covered in shoes.

"Manik! Wake up!"I muttered while untying his shoes.Taking off his shoes along with socks I kept them beside his side table and then sat on bed just beside his head.

"Manik! Utho!Sab dinner k liye tumhara intezaar kar rahe hain!"I ruffled his hair but he didn't even budge.It seemed he was having a peaceful sleep.

I should let him sleep,kafi dino baad Ye sukoon dekha hai ale chehre par!

Ruffling his hair lastly I stood up from bed.With much difficulty I made him lay completely on bed and went out not before sprawling quilt over him.

"Mami ji Manik has slept! Maine koshish ki use uthane ki lekin wo bohot gehri neend so raha hai!"I spoke and mami ji who was waiting along with others at dining table for Manik smiled.

"Itni mehnat ki hai mere bete ne ab jab phal mil gaya tou chain ki neend ayegi hi na!" She winked at me and I smiled a little shyly.

"Nandani! Come eat !"Maa gestured me towards the empty chair but I shook my head.

"Nhi maa Im full! I don't want to eat!"

"Arey Nandani eat something!"Di requested but I scrunched my nose.

"Nhi di! Mughe bilkul bhi bhook nhi hai!"I palmed my tummy and shook my head along.

"Haan haan ! Manik ne nhi khaya tou ab tughe bhi kahan bhook lagegi ! Dekh rahi hain aap bhabhi ek hi din main kitna farq aagaya hai Nandani main!"Maa uttered sadly with a fake heavy voice while rolling  spaghetti in fork and I gave her a look.

Everyone chuckled including maa seeing my poker face.
"I'm going to sleep goodnight!"I muttered annoyedly and ran upstairs towards my room. 

"Nandani! That's not your room now! Come down !"Maa yelled while giggling from behind but I didn't listen to her and entered in my room.

Main nhi ja rahi neeche! Na Manik k paas na kisi Aur k paas!

Marching towards cupboard I fished out my nightwear that consisted of red crop top and black shorts and went into washroom.

Switching off lights I laid on my bed and pulled a pillow in my arms.Resting my cheek on it I closed my eyes.A never ending smile caught my lips as I reminisced gustaakhiyaan which we did during our struggle for love.
