Him and I: A Supergirl Fanfiction

Three Months In

The woman who called herself Reign cuffed me, and injected Kryptonite into my leg. I screamed, I cried and struggled. Even louder than my cries, were the sounds of two heartbeats, fading away. My twin girls. 

I woke up in cold sweat, just like the last month. I had been having the same dreams. They scared me. I glanced at the clock. Four AM. I rolled onto my side and placed my feet on the floor carefully. I was so clumsy, even more than I used to be. I waddled over to the chair and sat down, putting my feet up, to help with swelling. I scrolled through emails on my laptop. I had found a way to get some work done, writing small articles from home and emailing them to James. My back twinged a little and I groaned. My back literally ached 24/7. I grabbed a heat pack from the table next to me and used my heat vision to heat it up a bit. I rubbed it on my back and sighed. Before I knew it, I had dozed off. I was awakened by Alex shouting "Wake up! It's shower day!" Startled, I yelled. She handed me a towel and went into the bathroom. She came out five minutes later, a warm bath running, before leaving the room. I pulled off my pj's consisting of old plaid pants and a super long t shirt. I sat in the warm tub, allowing the water to relax my muscles. After soaking for some time, I wrapped the towel around me. I was frustrated as the towel barely met around my mid section. I pulled on the bra and panties Alex had set out and took a look at the dress she had put on the bed. It was a gorgeous floaty white dress, that ended just at my knees and was sleeveless. I slipped it on, over my head and put my feet into some comfy flats that actually fit. Alex came back and curled my hair. I didn't feel like makeup, so I just applied some shimmery eyeshadow, mascara because my eyelashes were stubs, and a pretty nude lipstick. Alex was dressed in tight navy dress accessorized with gold hoop earrings and a belt. She wore her black heels and carried a clutch. We drove in one of the DEO's cars, and pulled up in front of a park. "We have to walk a bit, to get to the party." Alex explained. We got out of the car and started on a simple paved trail through a grove of flowering trees. She had me close my eyes, and when I opened them, I almost cried. All of my friends and family were present; J'onn, Eliza, Maggie, Lena, James, Winn, and even Barry, Iris, Caitlin, Cisco, Oliver, Felicity, the Legends team were standing and shouted SURPRISE! Obviously I teared up because of my shitty hormones. They all gave me hugs, and Eliza draped a sash around me that said Mom to be. We ate potstickers, pizza, ice cream, lasagna and other food from the huge potluck. Then, it was present time. I got two car seats from Oliver and Felicity, a baby monitor from Eliza, double stroller from Alex and Maggie; Lena a custom made white dresser/changing table, James and Winn gave me gift cards to baby stores. Barry and Iris gave a bunch of baby grooming stuff like shampoo and nail clippers. Caitlin got me a little tub for baby baths, Cisco got tons of toys and J'onn gave a breast pump. The Legends team got swaddle blankets and onesies. Once again, I cried. "Lena, you spent way to much money on me!" I scolded her goodheartedly. We played Monopoly, which I won, not to brag or anything. Everything went nice and I had fun. All my friends from Earth-1 left to go back to their lives, and the rest of us went to Alex and Maggie's apartment, where we watched old movies, ate popcorn and just had fun
