"If you need anything else we can always have it sent over, you know," Demi said with a small chuckle as she watched me go through my stuff, throwing things that actually mattered to me into the suitcase.

I just shrugged. "I'm not that attached to most of these things," I responded as I chucked another How to Train Your Dragon themed shirt into my suitcase. My How to Train Your Dragon suitcase.

"Okay, seriously, how many things do you have with these dragons on them?" Demi questioned with a louder laugh when I glared at her.

"What's it matter?"

"I don't know if I want that many dragons in my house. Especially when they're named after how many teeth they have," Demi said, her laugh now full-blown as she pulled me into a side hug. "Aw, you're cute when you're mad."

I just glared at my aunt some more. "There's only one dragon named toothless. And he does, in fact, have teeth, Demetria."

Some say I may need to be afraid.

I shot Demi another annoyed look before heading over to my dance bag. The last thing I needed to pack was my dance shoes.

I easily fit the two pair of pointe shoes, a pair of lyrical paws, and a pair of jazz shoes into the suitcase before zipping it up to reveal the head of one black dragon smiling without any teeth. Demi just groaned.

"Ready?" Asked softly once I looked around the room to make sure I hadn't missed anything. Everything that I was bringing with me was in either my suitcase or my carry-on bag which was just my bookbag with all the textbooks removed.

"Yeah." Our flight didn't leave for another couple of hours, but we didn't want to miss it, so Demi and I were heading to the airport now and we could just walk around until it was time.

Of losing everything.

As much as I hated living here, I couldn't help but feel a little sad as I walked out the front door, my hand resting in Demi's, as I looked up at the small suburban house. It was my home for the last four years after all.

Demi seemed to pick up on my mood change because she squeezed my hand a little tighter. "Don't worry, it's not forever, M."

Because of where I had my start and where I made my name.

"I know." I just wish that it was.

We seemed to make it to the airport in record time, with Demi's bodyguard driving us there. Once we reach it the building at got signed in we started walking around. After about five minutes we came to a Starbucks and my aunt gently grabbed my hand, pulling me inside. "What do you want to drink?"

"Um..." I tried to read the calorie counts on the menu covering the wall before Demi stepped in front of me, blocking me from seeing it.

"Not based off of how many calories are in it, Max," Demi said, still standing in front of me.

Sighing, I thought up a response of something that maybe wouldn't be too bad. "Matcha Frappuccino."

"Alright," Demi grabbed my hand gently and ran her other hand through my brown hair as we stood in line. I couldn't help but relax into her touch.

Eventually, Demi ordered for the two of us and once we got our drinks we sat in a window seat of the shop.

"Anything in particular you want to make sure we get to do in LA?" The singer asked me as we waited and I had to actually stop and think. Is there anything I want to do in LA?

Honestly, there was only one thing that I could think of that I wanted. "Get to spend more time with you?" I felt a blush creep onto my cheeks at Demi's chuckle.

"Aw, I want that too, baby girl."

When everything's the same.

As my aunt took a sip of her coffee, I couldn't help but want to be okay. I don't want to worry over food, or how much I weigh. I don't know how I'm going to get there, but I think that moving in with Demi might just be a step in the right direction.

In la-la land machine.

With that, and only that, in my mind, I slowly took a sip of my drink as well, forcing myself not to think about all the calories going into my body and making me even fatter.

But, I'm not gonna change.
