Ares expression turned hostile and cold along with the atmosphere, the witch's life is literally in his hands and currently he didn't particularly have a great impression of said person.

He still has his hands around the witch's throat, 'How easy to snap this neck? If he dies would that snake appear I wonder?' such a small insignificant life he had the power to end so easily but Ares faltered, 'perhaps it would be boring to end this witch so quickly and killing him didn't guarantee the snake's appearance'.

Under so much intimidation witch didn't notice the danger he was under, he remained ignorant of the Emperors looming decision to end his life and just continued to stare dumbly into those icy eyes. The witch couldn't help but feel comforted he knew the person was different, but he couldn't help but see the similarity between him and Dez.

Still, underneath the Emperor, the witch touched the larger man's chest with his soft hand, having the ability to heal pain he also could sense pain. And he could sense the man's pain but it was different than the regular type of pain, it was hard to fathom but nonetheless, it was there.

"How impudent, you dare to touch me," the Emperor let out some pressure to scare the witch, but again it didn't have an effect, 'how irritating.'

It seems as though the worm didn't understand his place he was about the snap the witches neck but he noticed the witch making an expression, he was frowning. This was the first time he saw the witches expression change, the emperor waited for something to occur. He staring at the witches glowing pink eyes.

'How strange' the witch realised the person was similar to him his pain was not physical but it was still there in his heart he could see it, "Does it hurt?"

"Huh" Ares got caught up in the witch's antics thinking he was going to do something interesting, he was caught off guard by the sudden odd question. 'What does he know?'

Continuing his actions, the witch began to hum a melody, at the same time a beautiful light poured out from the witch's hand.

Ares felt the warmth of the magic, it was like a stimulating electricity pouring through his veins, he couldn't help but think it was such a pleasant feeling.

Also, the sound pouring from the witch's mouth was very mellow, soothing and almost spellbinding. It was hard to describe but for a moment Ares' constant self-torment disappeared and for that very instant he felt as he were in a peaceful trance of bliss.

However, after what seemed like a very brief moment the entrancing voice went quiet and the magic stopped flowing.

'He actually fell asleep again!'

Ares uncharacteristically collapsed onto the bed next to the witch, he glared at the smaller figure opposite him, his bright pink eyes were closed and no longer illuminated in the dark.

He surging annoyance to some of which was directed towards himself.

He ended up getting too caught up in the witch's presumptuousness. He'd already lost count of the crimes the witch committed against a monarch no else would even dare to dream of doing.

But the witch abruptly departed into dreamland left him with nothing to vent on.

'Simply killing the witch was too boring so that was ruled out, also there was the matter of the snake. Does its disappearance mean it has necessarily disappeared? Or is the witch hiding something.'

After the snake disappeared and the witch wouldn't wake up two days had already passed. It was enough time to review the decision on what to do with said witch. Unsurprisingly the Royal court members felt the snake's argument was solid and they ruled the witch harmless. But most weren't convinced and wanted the witch to be monitored and reported about regularly. Of course, there was a tedious motivation behind their rulings, they felt if they obtained the witch or more accurately familiar with the snake, how powerful would their kingdom be?

The witch had it's uses that fact was undisputable but the snake made it very obvious himself the witch was unable to harm humans and it didn't seem like the snake had any intention of being used. Considering that, how much was the witch really worth? A mere healer had its use but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to attract the emperor's interest himself.

After contemplating seriously he'd come to the decision keeping the witch alive to slowly but satisfyingly torment him. Therefore, he summoned the guards to send him to the Royal palace's dungeon. This was going to be a test if the witch failed...well, Ares has no use for useless things.

Opening his eye's again unlike previously his eyes weren't treated to a brightly lit room and there was no comfortable bed. He was in a dark unfamiliar place the unpleasant smell of blood permeated the air, making the air so thick and distasteful it was difficult to inhale.

The witch blinked adjusting his eyes to the dark environment he would've already moved if his hands weren't bound. Both of his hands were chained above his head.

He shook the chains frustratedly they were in the way he wanted food, otherwise, he was probably going to pass out due to hunger.

Just then the witch looked up and noticed the other figure staring at him from across the dark dungeon.

"Stop struggling uselessly, it's quite irritating" the figure said grimly.
