Phyllis felt his body tense up, he wasn't exactly sure why.

For a while, Phyllis have been keeping up with reports about the witch. Ares lost interest believing the witch to be useless as there was 'no sign' of his ability and because of that he immediately lost his initial interest and allowed Phyllis to do whatever, 'even dissect him if he needed to.' And that was supposed to be it, Ares didn't care what the child was doing, at least he shouldn't care.

Phyllis heart increased slightly, 'Was he worried? For himself? Or for the child?'

He walked towards the Emperor bowing briefly before facing the stony man with a tint of mockery "Oh your majesty, should I be graced by your presence or worried since you never come specifically around this particular area?"

Ares was irked by Phyllis classic grating way of speaking. "This entire dwelling belongs me Phyllis, do not irritate me. remember my patience for you is limited."

He moved and stood directly in front on the witch "So what is this?"

Phyllis hand had slightly twitched, Ares smiled arrogantly he noticed the change in Phyllis's face, he twisted his neck to face Phyllis "What's wrong Phyllis" he asked.

Phyllis quickly put a smile on his face "I'm not sure what you mean your majesty"

Ares narrowed his eyes and switched his attention back the person below him, who kept his head slightly bowed.

"I'm surprised Phyllis didn't disembody you already. Get up" he ordered coldly.

From the corner Phyllis squeezed his hands tightly, speaking when not spoken to was something Phyllis recognised greatly annoyed emperor.

He waited for a short moment but the boy still didn't rise, not rising in the presence of the king was seen as great disrespect.

"I said get up!" Ares repeated no longer with a grin on his face.

Slowly the witch did ascend but his small head still didn't meet with the emperors.

Ares was annoyed in the end all people are the same, all cowards when facing him with the same look of fear in their eyes; it was pathetic.

"Look at me" he demanded.

Finally, the witch lifted his face upwards, his breathing was clearly weighty, and his eyes were glowing intensely.

"Oh, what's this? You have a bad look on your face" Ares found a sort of amusement seeing the witch look at him with such a loathing expression in his eyes. He gripped his chin with his hands forcing him to look into his eyes "first of all, you refuse to stand when a monarch has commanded you to, you commit various offences then dare to look at me with such an expression?"

Phyllis subconsciously walked more closely but upon realising his own movements he stopped, there was nothing he could do.

The witch's neck held in an unnatural position began to ache so he spoke despite his unwillingness, "I...I don't like you, even though you look like Dez you're not like him"

"Is that supposed to mean something?" Ares narrowed his eyes dangerously and tensed his hands more harshly squeezing the witches chin.

"..It hurts" the witch sobbed softly his bright misty eyes filled with tears and injustice.

Ares' hands faltered slightly, he paused for a moment thinking if what Phyllis said about the boy was true then there would b no further use of him than to cut him open. But from his strange behaviour earlier it wasn't hard to deduce that he was either hiding something or he actually cared about this witch. Whichever reason he was unhappy with.

He let go of the witch, "from now on you'll be by my side and that's an order."

The witch collapsed to the floor weakly, his face was downcast "Phylli " he called looking at the physician.

"In my empire, I'm the one with power someone like Phyllis won't help you"

"I want to stay with Phylli, please I don't want him" the witch pleaded.

"It pointless you are to submit to me"

Finally, Phyllis spoke "you'll be well, just listen to his majesty. Okay, I assure you... "

Ares was irritated by no means did he allow him to speak. He gave Phyllis a long and harsh stare followed by no words, but Phyllis picked up and knew he was on his final warning.

"Please don't abandon me"

"I've already told you..." Ares stopped and remembered what Phyllis previously told him about the witch. He leaned forward "how about I kill Phyllis, then perhaps you'll be more obedient"

The witch stared at the man who had the exact same hair colour as Dez "okay" he said resolved.

Ares smiled at the clear change in the boy's eyes "we're going" he announced once again throwing Phyllis a side glance.

Phyllis watched as the young boy reluctantly followed behind Ares, he kept a smile on his face for the child. But as soon he disappeared from his sight, he quickly threw the gloves off in frustration "damn" he said.
