-Annie's POV-

I walk on the sand letting the wind blow through my hair, I've always loved that feeling.

I take a deep breath and admire the view, breathtaking.

I stuff my hands in my hoodies pocket as the I shiver.

"Hey" a voice says behind me.

I swiftly turn around and as usual, Hayden is standing there.

I roll my eyes and say "stop stalking me"

"I just figured you'd be here" he says keeping his distance.

"how have you been" he says

"I think you know the answer to that" I say and stare at the ocean.

I take a deep breath and say, "Look, you hurt me... twice. You can't expect me to trust you again, I loved you Hayden, can you believe it, loved.
You just play around with my feelings,
just forget about me, us... all of this"

I continue, "I really did not expect this from you... I want to enjoy the rest of my life, you being in it will make me upset, depressed, all that sh*t. Find someone else you can play around with"

He takes a few steps closer and I feel his minty breath on my face.

"I love you and I still do, never forget that"

I roll my eyes and say, "Yeah tell that to katie"

"Annie she means nothing to me, I got caught up, i know... if I were you, i'd hate me too" he says

I scoff, "caught up... seriously. come up with a better excuse next time"

"I know I hurt you, I know you hate me, but I have to deal with it"

"You can't expect me to like you again when you cheated on me, that's not how it works."

He looks down at his feet and sighs.

"I understand" he says.

"for what?" he asks

"for giving me my space and respecting my decisions"

"I better get going" I say

I start walking away, but then he says,

"I just want you to know... i'll be here,
waiting"

I turn around and say, "Do what you want to do, but I'm moving on... you need to as well"
