Anna's POV

"Hey Alexander?" I call into the void which is my house as I get home.

No response.

I shrug and walk to my room, which is opposite Alexander's and pass out onto my bed.

Alexander is my twin brother, we are inseparable. Alexander has brown hair, blue eyes and is slightly taller than me.

"Annaaaaaaaaa," I hear someone say as they shake me awake. 

"Yessssss?" I mumble opening my eyes slowly.

I see Alexander and pull him down to my level for a hug.

"I'm so glad to see a living, breathing human who won't hit on me or isn't an alcoholic!" I say into Alexander's shoulder as he just laughs at my antics.

"I take it, it was a long day yesterday?" Alexander asks. 

I nod and let Alexander go.

"Wait why'd you wake me up?" I ask.

"Breakfast is ready, hank called me to say you had a rough day yesterday, he found out from an android called Connor?" Alexander says as he walks out of my room.

Fucks sake Connor.

I jump out of bed and get dressed into some casual clothes then slide into the kitchen where Alexander is serving up some eggs.

"Alexander, you didn't have to," I say softly.

"I did, you got home at 2 am last night," Alexander says.

I smile at Alexander as he puts a plate down in front of me and returns the smile.

"Hey Xands? You free today?" I shout out into the house as I clean up my dishes.

"Yeah why?" Alexander replies as he walks into the kitchen.

I turn my head over my shoulder, my long blonde hair falling behind my back.

"Road trip?"

Alexander smiles and runs to his room to get some stuff.

"How long?"

"Idk just a day I guess, I've got to be near work! We can go for a hike maybe," I say approaching Alexander's room.

Alexander nods and shoos me out of his room so he can get changed into appropriate attire, as do I.

Alexander and I jump into my car and drive off, going nowhere particular.

I look at Alexander who is smiling with the wind through his brown hair and listening to my music that he's playing.

After 30 minutes of driving we need up at a rocky beach with dull clouds but it looks peaceful.

"This is nice, a good idea Anna," Alexander says.

"Yeah it really is, thanks for coming Alexander, I feel like it's needed," I say softly as I pull my hair over one shoulder.

I find a spot on the rocks of the beach and sit down, letting the cold harsh wind blow against my face.

*click*

My head snaps to Alexander behind me who is smiling at a photo he took of me.

"Xaaaaandeeerrrr what did you doooo?" I question curiously.

"Took a photo of youuu," Alexander says handing me his phone.

"Aww that's cute," I say.

Alexander only giggles in reply.

As I hand Alexander his phone back I hear someone's voice.

"Detective Jane."

"Thought it was your off day," Alexander whispers.

"It is," I reply.

I turn to the person who spoke to me and see the Android I'm all so familiar with, Connor.

"Connor?" I question.

"Yes it's me, what are you doing here?" Connor asks me.

"Having a chill off day with my roommate, Alexander, what are you doing here Connor?"

"I came for a walk and ended up here," Connor says.

"You're a long way from home," I say.

Connor analyses his surroundings and nods.

"Yeah, I do seem to be far away," Connor says.

"Well join us and we'll take you home when we leave," Alex says.

Connor nods and I wave him over to come sit.
