After a bit of messing around in Nate's bed and just peacefully laying in silence together, he spoke up.
"So what's your tragic backgroundstory?"
"My what now?" I asked.
"You know damn well what I'm talking about" he said and stared at me.
"Remember what you told me in the bathroom? What was that all about?"
"I-I'm not supposed to tell" I sighed and looked away. I can't talk about this... I can't tell anyone what really happend.
"Jason, you told me straight in my face you killed your own brother" Nate stated and forced me to look at him.
"Please... You know everything there is to know about me, why don't you trust me with your secrets?"
"Cause I promised him..." I whispered.
"I promised Jack that I would never speak of it again... Nobody can know Nathan, not even you"
He just stared at me for a while.
"You said he died in a car crash, right?"
I nodded.
"So that was a lie?"
"N-no" I said hoarse.
"H-he did die in a car crash, I-I just never told you what happend in that car..."
"You were there?"
I nodded with tears in my eyes.
"And you killed him?"
I started crying and pulled him close to me. How could I ever hide this terrible secret forever? It was bound to come out sooner or later... But I promised. It was my brothers last wish, I can't just throw it away...
"Jason, please, talk to me" Nathan begged. Okay, that's it. I'm so so sorry Jackson, but Nathan is my everything and I'm sure you understand. Heck, you've probably been shouting for me to tell him from the beginning.
"P-promise me you'll never ever tell anyone" I asked.
"Please, I need you to vow it on your life a-and I must warn you"
"Warn me? Why?" he asked.
"Once you know there's no turning back" I sighed.
"A-and it could possibly put your life in danger in the future"
"The far future or?"
"You want to know or not?" I asked. He sighed and bit his two fingers, putting them in the air.
"I swear on my mothers grave that I will never tell anyone what you're about to tell me"
"Good" I said and sat up, pulling him up with me. Oh God, where do I even start?
"S-so, uhm, I'm not from a very normal family" I sighed.
"Heck, why don't just throw it out at once... My father, the one that beat me up, is not actually my father"
"What?"
"He's not my biological dad, I don't even have his last name, in case you haven't noticed"
"Wait? So Anderson is..?"
"My mothers name" I said and forced a quick smile.
"She was married to my real father, once upon a time... But that's a long time ago. I had everything as a kid. Jack and I were privileged Nate. We lived in the biggest mansion you can imagine, we had a nanny, a chef, a housekeeper, we had everything... Had everything..."
"B-but if you were that rich, what happend? How did you lost it?" he asked in shock.
"When I was about 8 my real father was arrested for dealing" I sighed.
"Our whole fortune was based on his illegal business..."
"H-he was a drug lord?" Nate asked with big eyes. I shook my head. If it were only drugs...
"I wish it were drugs Nate, I really do" I whispered.
"B-but it were weapons, woman, children... He took people from their homes so some lab could run tests on them for their experimental products... He enslaved people and forced them to work for him. He sold children to the highest bidder, sold weapons to terrorist groups... My father was an awful man Nathan..."
He just stared at me, waiting for me to continue.
"When he went to jail, my mom took the fortune and ran with us. We were on the run two years until we finally settled down... Everything started to turn out normal again. Jack and I went to school and mom just acted like nothing happend at all. Things were calming down. My mother even fell in love with a new man, but they couldn't get married cause she was still married to my real father. But that didn't even matter. I had a family again, I was happy. I didn't need all those riches... I just wanted my mom and Jackson..."
Nate forced a smile and placed a hand on my leg.
"Listen Jace, I'm sorry I pressured you into telling me all of this but I-"
"I'm not done yet" I interrupted him.
"You want to know what I meant with what I said in the bathroom, yes?"
He nodded.
"Okay, than listen" I stated.
"My father was killed in prison and without his influence on people there were no guards watching us anymore. My mom didn't know about them until later but my father has always wanted the best for his family. His enemies on the other hand... Not so much. They found us about half a year ago, threatened our family..."

"Get to the car!" mom shouted.
"But mom!" I yelled.
"No! We'll be fine, I promise! Get out of here!"
"Come on Jace, listen to her" Jack hissed and pulled me along. He got behind the wheel and I got in the passengers seat.
"Do you even know how to drive?" I asked and saw the bad men coming for us.
"Only one way to find out!" he shouted as we drove off on full speed. They chased us almost immediately and Jack cursed.
"Jace, come on, quickly, grab the guns from the back!"
"I'm on it! I'm on it!" I shouted as I was already putting my seat down as far as I could, opening the secret layer in the floor of the car.
"Hurry a bit will ya?!" Jack complained as he noticed they were getting closer.
"Just focus on the road already!" I said as I opened the ceiling window.
"Are you sure you're up for this?!" Jack yelled towards me.
"Just like a game, right?" I grinned as I loaded the gun.
"Ahahaha, right! Man, dad would be so proud of us!" Jack stated and I rolled my eyes. I knew he was joking but at the same time he wasn't. His blood ran through our veins. This is what we were born to do...
"Okay, I'm ready!" I yelled and stood up, head exposed out the top window. I quickly pointed the gun at them and tried to hit their tires. It wasn't working so I changed to plan B, headshots. This wasn't the first time I had to shoot someone. There were plenty of problems when we were on the run and a lot of people chased our fathers fortune. I was able to eliminate 3 out of 5 cars before we suddenly swapped off the road for a moment, causing me to lose a gun as I lost my grip on it. I shot down immediately and looked at Jack.
"Dude! What was that all about?!"
"Hey! You wanna take over or something?!" he hissed.
"They're coming from everywhere! We're lucky we live in the middle of nowhere or there would be casualties!"
"Just try to keep straight okay?"
"You're one to speak" he grinned.
"This is so not a time for bad jokes Jackson" I hissed and took another gun, regaining my position again. This was the only thing I truly excelled at... The only thing I could do better than Jack. Fight. When I was out of bullets I sat back down and screamed at Jack to watch out but it was to late. We drove of the road, crashing into a rock, the car flipped upside down and I flew through the window outside. It landed with a loud bang but I was already free.
"Jackson!" I cried and ran over to the wreck. He was coughing up blood violently and gave me a sad smile. His one arm bended in the wrong direction and with the other he grabbed my hand.
"N-no, no, no..." I whispered and started crying.
"J-Jason" he breathed out and pointed at the gun behind me.
"P-pl-plea-se"
"No, I'm not giving up on you!" I shouted.
"I'm dying" he barely managed to get out.
"P-ple-ase J-Jace... P-promise me... Y-you c-can't tell an-ny-o-one..."
I picked up the gun with tears in my eyes.
"I'll tell mom they got to you and that's how we crashed" I cried as I pointed the gun at his head. He closed his eyes with a faint smile.
"Do it..."

BANG

And I was all alone...
