Chapter 11

"Let's see... First off, let me have you guys introduce yourselves." Kakashi said, leaning against the rail. You were on the roof of the academy currently, sitting between Naruto and Sasuke. "Introduce ourselves... What should we say?"" Sakura asked confused. "Your likes, dislikes, your future dream, hobbies, things like that!" Kakashi explained, crossing his arms. "Hey! Before that, please tell us about yourself." Naruto asked and Kakashi pointed to himself.

"Me? My name's Kakashi Hatake. I don't feel like telling you guys about my like and dislikes. I've never really thought about my future dream... As for my hobbies, i have many." He said and Sakura looked at you, Sasuke, and Naruto clearly annoyed. "In the end, isn't all we got to know is his name?" She asked and Naruto nodded in a agreement. "Yeah." Kakashi gestured towards the four of you sitting, "Next is you guys." He said crossing his arms. "Lets start with you." kakashi said looking at Naruto who smiled and adjusted his dark blue forehead protector.

"My name's Naruto Uzumaki! I like instant ramen but what i like even more is the ramen from Ichiraku that Iruka-sensei treats me to. I also like hanging out with Katsumi! What i dislike is the three minutes after pouring hot water in the instant ramen. My hobby is eating and comparing ramen! And my future dream... is to surpass the Hokage! And i'm also going to get the entire village to acknowledge my existence!"

Kakashi thought for a moment before moving on. "Okay, next." He said looking at Sakura. "I'm Sakura Haruno. What i like... I mean who i like is," She glanced at Sasuke before continuing. "And, my hobby is, i mean..." Again, Sakura looked at Sasuke blushing. "My future dream is..." Sakura trailed off before glancing at Sasuke again before squealing. You didn't understand the kind of girl she was...

"And? What about your dislikes?" Kakashi asked about the subject she forgot. "Naruto." She said immediately with a face of disgust. "And you?" Kakashi asked Sasuke. "My name's... Sasuke Uchiha. I have a lot of dislikes, but no likes in particular." Sasuke said catching Sakura's attention as, you guessed, she hoped for him to say her as a like. "And... I don't feel like summing up my ambition as just a dream but i do have an ambition! The ambition to restore my clan and without fail... to kill a certain man!"

You frowned at the mention of Itachi. You wished there was a way to talk to him or even just see him for a moment. It was hard without him or Shisui as you had unintentionally became so close with them. You saw Naruto flinch at Sasuke's tone, most likely hoping Sasuke wasn't talking about him. Kakashi seemed to expect him to mention the older Uchiha while Sakura thought he was cool... For wanting to murder his older brother without trying to research why Itachi massacred the clan... That's cool apparently.

"Lastly, Katsumi." Kakashi said and you pushed away your thoughts. "As i think all of you know, my name is Katsumi Kita. I like nature, drawing, birds, hanging out with friends, and water to name a few. I dislike fire, my brother, snakes, the dark, and small places. My hobbies are reading, exploring, photography, tree climbing, and studying birds. My dream is to protect and save as many people as i can." You finished with a feeling of slight pride. "Good!" Kakashi praised the four of you.

"The four of you are very distinctive and interesting! We'll have a mission tomorrow!" You grinned, you'd been waiting for this for fourteen years. "Yes sir! What kind of mission?" Naruto asked, saluting. "First, we'll do what we can with just five people." Kakashi said and Naruto leaned forward in interest. "What, what, what?" He asked. "A survival exercise." Kakashi said and Naruto lost interest and became confused. "Why are we doing an exercise even though this is supposed to be a mission? We've had more than our share of exercises in the Academy!" Sakura said displeased.

"This is no simple exercise." Kakashi said and Naruto raised his hand. "Then... Then what kind of exercise is it?" Naruto asked and Kakashi chuckled. "Hey! What's so funny, Sensei?" Sakura asked confused as to what was so amusing. "Uh, well, if i tell you, I know you'll grow disenchanted." Kakashi explained and despite this Naruto asked him what he meant. "Of the twenty-seven graduates, only nine will be recognized as junior ninjas. The remaining eighteen ninja will be sent back to the academy. In other words, this exercise is an extremely difficult test with a failure rate of sixty-six percent or higher!"

The three new additions to the team stared at him blank-faced. "See, see? You got disenchanted!" Kakashi said and you chuckled. "That's crazy! To have suffered that much! T-Then, what was the graduation test for?" Naruto shouted desperately wanting answers. "Oh, that. It was to just select those who had the potential of becoming Genin." "Whaaaat?!" "Well, that's the way it is. I'll be determining whether you pass who fail. Bring your complete set of ninja tools. We meet at five in the morning."

Naruto seemed a bit shaken by Kakashi words while Sasuke was only more determined to pass. "Okay! You're dismissed." Kakashi said and looked over his shoulder at them. "Oh... and best you'd skip breakfast. You'll throw up."
