That morning you woke up earlier than the time Kakashi said to get there before the others. You stood silently sketching trap designs in your book, it was something you had been working on figuring it could be useful in the future. You noticed Sakura walking towards you. Looking to your left you saw Sasuke and to the right was Naruto. "Morning." Sakura said rubbing her eyes tiredly.
"Morning." Naruto said in a slur, probably half asleep. Sasuke, however, didn't say anything and looked the most awake. "Morning everyone." You said with a smile and Naruto hugged you, leaning his weight on you. "Katsumi, can you be my pillow? I didn't get much sleep..." The blond trailed off, softly snoring.
You snorted in amusement and carefully found a way to lay him down on the ground then sit down before placing his head on your leg gently. You continued reading your book, letting Naruto sleep as he probably would've fallen asleep anyway. You glanced at Sasuke who didn't seem to care, watching for Kakashi.
You then glanced to Sakura who was sneaking glances at Sasuke, seemingly forgetting about you and Naruto. "Katsumi." Sasuke said and you hummed in response. "When will Kakashi-sensei get here?" He asked and you shrugged, turning the page to your book.
"You saw how late he was yesterday, you'll be waiting a lot longer." You watched his expression turn to one of disgust out of the corner of your eye. "Keep making that face all the time and it'll get stuck looking like that permanently." You said chuckling after when he crossed his arms looking the other direction. Sakura watched the scene quietly in awe at how you easily 'got along' with Sasuke.

"Hi, folks. Good morning!" Kakashi greeted and all three of the new additions to the squad glared at him. (Naruto waking up not too long ago.) "You're late!" Naruto and Sakura yelled together at Kakashi. "Well, a black cat crossed my path, you see." Kakashi explained, pointing behind him. The three didn't buy it, staring at him blankly. Kakashi awkwardly raised his hand to his mouth in a fist, coughing into it.
"Ahem! Oh well..." The silver haired Jonin then walked over to the clock that was placed on a stump. "Okay, it's set for twelve o'clock!" Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura stared confused while you blankly already doing the same exercise three times now. He took out two silver bells each being tied to a red string."Today's assignment is to take these bells away from me by noon." Kakashi explained.
"Those who can't do it won't get lunch.They'll be tied to that and i'll eat my lunch before your very eyes." The others had figured out why Kakashi had told them to skip breakfast suddenly realizing they were quiet hungry. "But, hold on. Why are there only two bells?" Sakura asked and he grinned under his mask. "There are only two, so at the very least, one will have to go to the logs. That person will be disqualified for failing the mission and will return to the academy."
Their faces became serious as he began mentioning consequences. "It might be one person at the very least, or it might be all three of you." Before he could continue he was interrupted by Sasuke. "Three? What about Katsumi, does he suddenly get a pass due to being here before us?" Kakashi shook his head no. "Not at all. In fact, Katsumi will have be against the three of you and have one of the bells." They all turned to you with looks of shock and you smiled cheekily, catching the bell that Kakashi tossed to you.
"You can use your shuriken but you wont be able to get a bell unless you come at Katsumi and I with the intent to kill." Kakashi held the bells in his fist, looking at the three twelve year old's with a blank face. "But, that's dangerous, sir!" Sakura said, arguing against Kakashi's rules. You rolled your eyes at how they continuously underestimated his skill. "Y-Yeah, that's right! Naruto agreed with Sakura, nervously laughing.
"You couldn't even dodge a chalk-board eraser and I know all of Katusmi's tricks!" You smirked at Naruto's words. He knew all your tricks? We'll see about that. "In this world, those who aren't skilled enough tend to complain more. Well, just ignore the loser..." Naruto's smile dropped and he looked at Kakashi with an annoyed face. "Begin when I give the 'ready-go' signal." Naruto, pissed, grabbed a kunai and ran at Kakashi.
Kakashi caught Naruto's wrist, pulling his arm behind him and pointing the kunai at the back of his head. Naruto sweat-dropped at how quickly his own weapon was used against him and how quickly Kakashi had appeared. "Don't be so hasty. I didn't say start yet." Kakashi said and Naruto gritted his teeth. The others backed away and you watched, slightly amused at how they were suddenly wary. "But, that's fine. At least you came at me with the intent to kill."
Everyone stared at each other for a moment. "How can i put this...? I feel like i'm finally starting to like you guys." Kakashi said, causing them to become a little confident. "We're going to start." He announced and you walked over to beside him, watching as the three others got into battle stances. Time to show them you'd improved a lot more than they knew."Ready..."
"Start!"
