Jessica's POV

A thousand questions spun through my head.

What do I wear?

What if I'm under dressed?

What if I'm over dressed?

Sandals or sneakers?

Or maybe heels?

Finally, I decided on a grey Nirvana muscle tank and black skinny jeans with grey Converse.

That could never go wrong.

Just as I touched up on my hair, I heard a gentle knock on the door.

Ooh he looks really hot. Ravishing. He was wearing a red polo tee and khaki shorts. His hair was styled up. Damn, I never thought his hair was quiffable.

"You done?" Caleb asked.

"Yea," I replied.

He took my hand as we walked towards his car.

"Am I dressed suitably for wherever we're going?" I asked.

"Are you serious? This outfit is suitable for literally anywhere. Well unless of course I bring you to a super posh restaurant which I'm not." Caleb scoffed.

"You really can't reply me where we're going?" I pouted.

"Nope." he said, popping the 'p'.

After the car took a few unfamiliar twist and turns, Caleb pulled over at a curb.

He pulled out a bandana from his pocket and told me to put it over my eyes.

"What?!" I asked incredulously.

He shrugged and said,"It's a surprise."

I reluctantly put it on and felt Caleb's arms snake around my waist, guiding me where to go.

"We're here!" Caleb announced excitedly.

I whipped the bandana off and in front of my eyes stood a huge carnival.

My eyes roamed the place in awe. There was everything it should have. From roller coasters to cotton candy booths.

I grinned widely as I pulled Caleb over to the bumper cars.

I got into a red bumper car while Caleb got into a green one.

He smiled devilishly and said,"It's on."

After a while hour of banging into each other and almost dying (no, seriously, my car almost overturned.), we got out of our bumper cars very sweaty.

I heard my stomach growl and Caleb immediately pulled me towards the food booths.

Oh the heavenly smell.

I bought one of every item that was available.

"Mmm this is really good stuff." I said with my mouth still full.

"No shit." Caleb replied, chucking food into his mouth.

After we finished our food, I suggested taking the roller coaster.

He visibly turned pale as he tugged at his collar,"Uh I'm still kinda full at the moment."

"Are you just scared?" I teased.

"Hey everyone has their fear OK." he replied defensively.

"Alright, alright, how about the merry-go-round?" I asked.

He nodded and then we made a beeline for the queue.

After trying out a few more rides, we were as good as dead. We decided to call it a day and head for home.

We crept as stealthily as we could into the house after Caleb parked his car.

But much to my misfortune, my parents were sitting in the couch with a stern look on their faces.

"Young lady, there better be a good explanation for this." my father growled.

Just then, the grandfather clock chimed 11 times, indicating 11pm.

I smiled triumphantly,"Well, I didn't break the curfew so there's nothing to explain."

My father glowered and said,"You're lucky Jess."

I went up to bed quietly with only a thought in my mind:

Lucky? That is one thing I'm not.
