Dean kept an eye out for the jocks as he quickly paid for his lunch and quickly left the cafeteria. No, he wasn't scared of them. But he did pretty well in school and that was his chance to get into a good college and leave this place behind and that's what he was most looking forward to.
He went over to the big tree near the field and sat down, pulling his lunch into his lap
He had just took a spoon of mac and cheese in his mouth and begun chewing, when a body plopped in front of him and his senses swirled with vanilla
"Hi sweetcheeks." She said and Dean resisted a sigh
He didn't reply just looked at her with a straight face
"Oh gosh, why are you eating that garbage?" She asked putting Dean's tray behind her back
He widened his eyes as she pulled out a paper bag
"Here. Try this." She stated confidently with a sunshine smile again
He looked at it, he was having a mental dialogue that he shouldn't take it. But in the half day he knew her, he knew she would never take no for an answer
He sighed and slowly took the sandwich
"What is it?" He asked, giving it a skeptical look
"It's ham and cheese," she replied
"Classic," she replied but stopped him as he was gonna put it in his mouth and pulled out a pack of potato chips
"You gotta try this," she said, opening the sandwich and putting a few chips in
He looked at it then at her and couldn't help it as he saw that sunshiney smile and all the hope in her brown eyes
He sighed and bit it, wincing as it crunched between his teeth but then it got to the pleasant part. This was amazing
"How is it?" She asked with the same expression on her face
His lips quirked as he looked at her
"It's really good. Thank you." He replied honestly
Cuz yeah, it was better than that disgusting school lunch. Addison smiled widely at him
"I'm glad sweetcheeks," she said and Dean stifled a chuckle with a cough
"And here's some orange juice." She said, handing him a bottle
He took it and looked at her
"Thank you." He said shocked, watching as her smile nearly touched the corners of her face
"No problem." She replied and took out her own sandwich and just starting rambling about everything she could and the smile she hit him when he took another sandwich, made him give her a tight lipped smile and she grinned back
As Dean walked into his room, he threw his backpack on the floor and lay on the bed, putting his forearm over his eyes
Addison wasn't that bad.
Dean sighed and flung his pillow away from him and groaned, he can't handle it anymore
Something no one but his mom knew about him was that Dean was born with a deficiency, known as Aspergers.
That meant that he had abnormal socializing and communication skills. He also had a knack for being repetitive. But he never let that bother him though
He already got bullied every day being himself. He couldn't even imagine what would happen if people found out he had Aspergers
He looked at his phone on his bedside table as it chimed
From: Unknown
Hey sweetcheeks, it's Addison. I took your number today. Goodnight.🌟😜
Dean looked at it and quirked his lips. He saved her number and put down the phone, not replying her.
He lay down his head and looked at the picture on his wall. It was of his family, he sighed and thought about Addison and he huffed a laugh
Maybe the kid was not so bad after all.
