Little Do You Know

Addison looked at herself in the mirror of the girl's bathroom

She had 15 minutes before she was supposed to be on stage to perform her song, she felt like crying, Seth and herself had worked so hard to perfect this song and now, he hated her

She sighed and fixed her lipstick, staring at her floral print skirt and white crop top, she straightened her necklace and shook her head

She had execs from The Manhattan School of Music and from Julliard, today was a big deal for her

She felt her phone vibrate and she took it out and read the message on the screen

Good Luck today kid, I'm so proud of you no matter what happens, I'll see you home later

She smiled and nodded, putting her phone away, she took a breath and walked out from the bathroom, heading into the auditorium and to backstage

"Okay Addison, they're here," Mrs. Garcia said, showing her where the suits were sitting and Addison felt all her nerves rise drastically

"Don't be nervous, you're gonna be awesome," she pepped and Addison nodded

5 minutes later, it was time for her to go out, she drank some water and did her throat exercises as she took some breaths

"It is my pleasure to introduce to you, Addison Foster," Mrs. Garcia introduced and Addison walked out, taking the mic and greeting the execs

She signalled Nattie to begin playing the tune on the piano

I'm still haunted by the memories, little do you know, I'm tryna pick myself up piece by piece, little do you know, I need a little more time," she sang with her eyes closed, she needed to keep her emotions in check

"I'll wait, I'll wait I love you like you've never felt the pain, I'll wait," a male voice began singing and Addison looked around shocked, she didn't see Seth, and he was the only one who knew the lyrics

Those weren't the original lyrics to the song, someone altered them

"Little do you know I, I love you 'til the sun dies," she gasped when the curtains raised and Dean walked closer to her, staring at her with a smile, her shocked face making him smile, he winked at her and she moved her mic to her mouth

"Oh wait, just wait, I love you like I've never felt the pain, just wait I love you like I've never been afraid, just wait, our love is here and here to stay, so lay your head on me," they sang together and Addison felt it harder to keep her emotions in check

"I don't have to be afraid," she sang

"I'll wait, the love is here and here to stay so lay your head on me, lay your head on me, so lay your head on me," she sang and Dean came up to her and cupped her cheek with his free hand, getting close to her

"Cuz little do you know I, I love you 'til the sun dies," he finished and the execs stood up and clapped, Mrs. Garcia smiled and gave the duo a thumbs up

"That was beautiful, but we'd like to hear Addison perform a song solo, using an instrument," the execs from Julliard said and Addison nodded

Dean excused himself from the stage and went to stand backstage, not knowing what the hell he'd say to Addison when she came back fron the stage

Addison took up her guitar and strummed, making sure it was audible then she took a breath and began singing a song she wrote for Dean called 'Complicated'

When Dean heard the song and really took in the lyrics, he felt like crying. He really hurt her.

He felt around in his pocket and pulled out her necklace, he had melted his gold ring that his father had a long time ago to repair the pendant on her chain

He didn't want that ring anymore. He wanted nothing to remember that deadbeat that hurt his mom

He smiled when he heard the execs clapping and Addison came off the stage, they would need a few minutes to decide if they would accept her into the school of not, so Dean had some time

"What was that?" She asked as she walked up to Dean

"I stole a copy of the lyric sheet and I made alterations to it so I could apologize, I never wanted to hurt you Addison, I would've never even dreamed about it, but I did and I'll hate myself forever but I just needed to tell you that I'm sorry and I broke up with Renee," he said and she gasped slightly

"I let a little popularity get to my head and I lost the best friend I've ever had, I'm so sorry Addison," he told her and she bit her lip

"I have something for you," he said, taking out the necklace from his pocket and going to stand behind her, he moved her hair to the side and clasped the chain around it

She gasped as she stared at her mom's newly repaired necklace, she wanted to kiss Dean but now wasn't the time or the place, she took his hand in hers and smiled

"I think I can forgive you, come over later and we'll really talk," she said to him and he nodded

Addison was told that within 3 weeks, she'd receive letters to let her know if she got accepted into Julliard or MSM

She was happy as a clam right now, she thought she nailed that audition and she was on the brim of a breakthrough of truth with Dean

She saw Seth sitting on the water fountain outside the school with Roman and she just stared at him for awhile, he felt her gaze though and turned around with a smile until his eyes met hers and his smile dropped

She could feel the hurt radiating off of him as he bit his lip and sadly turned back to Roman. She really needed a way to make it up to Seth
