-2 Months Later-

Addison sighed as she stared at her reflection, she didn't know who this person was anymore. This person staring at her in the mirror, who was she?

It had been 1 month since she and Dean had last spoken and she started having a grievance to cut

She never really knew how much Dean had meant to her until he had stopped acknowledging her altogether

It had happened the day after she and Renee had spoken

"Hey Addison, can we talk?" Renee asked her and Addison politely nodded

"I know you like Dean," Renee had said and Addison's eyes had widened as she fiercly denied it but Renee was observant

"I won't tell him, if you agree to stay away from him. I don't want you near him," and Addison told her she didn't really like to be threatened, so she wasn't gonna listen to Renee

She and Dean continued to be friends until Dean had played his first football match and scored the winning home run and he didn't even acknowledge Addison. She had asked him why and he said she was holding him back and that she was selfish. He didn't talk to her since that day. She still didn't know what Renee had told him but she chose not to make it into a problem.

Addison sighed as she stared into the mirror then at the fading cuts on her wrists, her skin was just itching to make contact with the razor, but she had promised Dean she wouldn't do it again

She sighed and put on her long sleeve black hoodie over her vest and her vans and picked up her books and began her walk to school

When she got there, she immediately went to her locker and ducked her head praying no one saw her cuz she really didn't feel like talking to anyone

She looked up in time to see the football team walking the corridor and her eyes widened when she saw Dean. His hair wasn't long and pink anymore, it was short and brown

Dean was laughing at something Randy was saying when his eyes caught hers, she saw his eyes switch to a hurt expression before he albeit glared at her and she quickly moved her eyes back into the locker infront of her and cleared her throat

She immediately picked up her pencil case and made her way to the school bathroom, this one was on the side of the school no one ever went to, she quickly took out her sharpener and broke it, pulling out the blade from it.

She stared at the shining piece of metal in her hands for awhile, as she turned it slowly watching the way it glinted in the light

She closed her eyes and sucked in a breath. She thought to how this whole experience had been, she thought to the day her mom died, what she said to her, moving here, meeting Dean, losing Dean.

She bit her lip as she remembered how Dean's lips felt against hers and she pressed the metal to her wrist

She then remembered the tree on the field where he had carved their initials into the bark and when he had taken her hand in his and pressed kisses against all her cuts. She thought of when he'd promised her not to change himself if she promised never to cut again, his promise...the promise he broke.

She gasped, eyes flying open as she felt a pinching pain in her arm and she watched in awe as the red liquid seeped through the cut she made

She sighed as she repeated her ministrations until she atleast had 5 fresh cuts on each arm

"I deserve it." She said and nodded, standing up when the bell rang and she walked over to the sink and washed her hands and pulled her sleeve over the cuts on her hands

She was back at her locker, taking out her biology book and sighed when she heard a body lean against the locker next to hers

"Hey Adds," Seth said with a smile on his face

Adds...that's what Dean always called her, she bit her lip hard and forced a smile, things fell apart one by one in her life, Seth had decided they were better as friends and she'd admit that kinda hurt her

"Hey Seth," she greeted in a small voice

"Are you alright?" He asked, taking in the expression on her face and she swallowed deeply and nodded

"Um, wanna hang out later?" He asked, cuz he did still like her, and wanted to be her friend

"I uh, I'm kinda busy, lots of homework you know?" She dismissed him and he bit his lip, knowing she was lying

"Some other time then?" He asked, rubbing the back of his neck

"Oh yeah, another time." She agreed but she highly doubted it. She heard Seth sigh before she felt him pull her into a hug and press a kiss to her forehead and damn if that didn't break her poor heart more

"I'm here if you need me," he said and she weakly smiled at him and nodded. He gave her a wink and walked to his next class

She walked into her biology class and was about to sit at the back of the class when the teacher called out to her

"Miss Foster, please sit with your lab partner," she said and Addison bit her lip as she slowly made her way to the empty chair beside Dean and sat down

She took her pencil in her hand and gripped it as tight as she could practically feel the hatred coming from Dean

"And the relationship between two organisms is one of the most important things, symbiosis if you will." The teacher explained and Addison clenched the pencil

"Commensalism is where one organism benefits without hurting the other organism who does not benefit. Parasitism is when one organism hurts the other without really caring for the other organism, as long as they benefited," the teacher said and the pencil snapped in Addison's hand making Dean flinch at the sickening crack

"Problem Miss Foster?" The teacher asked

"Um, may I be excused please?" Addison asked in a soft voice and the teacher, Mrs. Guerrero's eyes softened and she nodded

Addison quickly got up and took up her pencilcase and walked briskly out of the class

Dean stared at the broken pencil on the desk and he started wondering why she carried the pencilcase with her but then he rolled his eyes. Why the hell was he thinking about her? She was only a roadblock in his path. He scoffed and looked back at the teacher, straightening the sleeves of his new varsity jacket
