Addison stood outside the steps of the school, swaying, she was waiting for Dean to get out of art class

Dean held his sketch pad under his arm and his bag hung on one shoulder as he walked over to where Addison was, hiding a smile as Addison immediately lit up when he walked down the steps

"Hey," he greeted with a nod and Addison smiled brightly

"Ready?" She asked and he nodded, falling into step beside her as she began moving

"So you like art?" She asked, making small talk

"Yeah," he said nodding

"And you like music," he stated and she beamed at him, making his heart beat faster

"Yeah, how'd you know?" She asked, still with a wide smile

"Observation," he replied and she smiled, he pays attention to her.

"Are your parents home?" He asked her as she walked up the driveway

"I live with my dad, he's a cop so he's working." She said and Dean nodded, pursing his lips

She unlocked the door and opened it, beckoning Dean in first

"Welcome to my humble abode," she said smiling and Dean nodded, it was a nice house, two story, nicely furnished

"Sweetheart? That you?" They heard a voice ask and Addison's jaw dropped

He walked out and Dean noticed he looked exactly like Addison. She was her dad in print

"You're home." She said shocked then she caught herself as her dad looked at the boy next to her with questioning eyes

"Dad, this is my friend from school, we're gonna work on a school project upstairs," she told him

"Adam Foster," her dad said, reaching out to shake his hand, Dean took it with a smile, not a full one but it was there

"Pleasure," Dean replied him and then Addison looked at them

"Okay dad, we're gonna go upstairs and work on our project," Addison said and her dad nodded

"Have fun, I'll bring up snacks." He said and Addison nodded and took Dean's hand and lead him up the steps to her room

She opened the door and stepped in and Dean looked around, nodding

He carefully placed his bag down and sat in her desk chair, his hands tight over his knees as she flopped on the bed, it was silent as she observed him then she spoke

"What do you want to do?" She asked, propping her chin on her palm

"Weren't we gonna work on the project?" He asked, confused as she scoffed

"That's boring, I thought we'd just chill. I only said that so you'd come over," she said and Dean shook his head, of course

"So I'm auditioning for choir tomorrow," she said and Dean looked at her

"But I'm no good," she said with a mirthless laugh and Dean furrowed his eyebrows

"That's not true." He replied

"You wanna hear the song I'm performing tomorrow?" She asked and Dean nodded, her voice was really soft and sweet, but also really powerful. There was no doubt she'd be pretty okay at singing

She smiled and cleared her throat before she began

"I'd never gone with the wind, just let it flow, let it take me where it wants to go, till you opened the door there's so much more I'd never seen it before I was trying to fly but I couldn't find wings then you came along and you changed everything," she sang then took a breath and raised the tone of her voice

"You lift my feet off the ground and spin me around, you make me crazier, crazier, feels like I'm falling and I am lost in your eyes, you make me crazier, crazier, crazier." She finished and looked away from him as his mouth was open, she blushed because when she heard the song for the first time, she thought about him and to sing it for him, was tugging at her heartstrings

"You're amazing," Dean said after a few moments, then he picked up his jaw from the floor and she blushed again

"You think so?" She asked him and he nodded, she smiled when the movement made the bun in his hair bounce

She got up and went closer to him, she took the elastic that was holding his hair in place and tugged it, watching the pink hair fall down his shoulders as he gasped, but she smiled and tangled her hand in the soft, sweet smelling hair

"Please don't ever change who you are," she said, twirling a strand

"Why are you so nice to me? I'm not anything for someone to care about." He said, looking down at his feet and hissing when he felt a tug at his hair

"You should stop putting yourself down like that, I care about you, there's something about you that just makes me want to always be around you. It's not out of pity either, you seem like the realest person in that school, and I do really genuinly want to be your friend." She told him, still running her fingers through his hair

"You're an amazing person sweetcheeks, and even if you don't want me to be your friend. I'm not gonna stop, because you've locked me down and I can't go anywhere. You're my best friend," she said, smiling sweetly as she fondly played with his hair

She was always there when he needed her, she stood up for him against Randy who was twice her size, she sang infront of him and she was the nicest person he'd ever met. She didn't hang around him because she pitied him, she hung around him because she wanted to. She WANTED to be his friend. And hell, she called him her best friend. He'd never been someone's friend. Let alone someone's best friend.

But Addison made him feel normal, she'd smile and he'd be calm, she'd touch him and he knows everything would be okay, Addison made him feel like everything would be okay

"Dean." He said and looked up at her confused face

"Huh?" She asked, still playing with his hair

"My name, it's Dean, Dean Ambrose." He said and the smile Addison hit him, absolutely rattled him, pink lips parted, white teeth bared, laugh lines prominent and it was the most  beautiful thing he'd ever seen

"Nice to officially meet you Dean Ambrose," she said still smiling

"Nice to meet you to Addison Foster," he replied, with a closed mouth smile

Dean asked to use the washroom and Addison was setting up the TV so they could watch some movies, she couldn't help smile, he told her his name, meaning there was an ounce of trust he had for her and that made her happy
