So this is what happened and this is what my problem is:
I love reading everyone's work and their ideas because I'm pretty much here for everybody being great and being creative right?
But what I DONT condone is stealing someone else's work and using it for your own when someone's worked hard to create these ideas and concepts in their head. And I SWEAR it seems like it happens the most with any Erik/N'Jadaka story.
If you like my shit, that's cool! I'm quick to say thank you and reply to everyone's comments, by what you don't do, is take my shit and try to make it your own; even if it's just key pieces, I know what I wrote and can tell... especially if you take my work WORD FOR WORD.
So, I was looking at my recommended sections and it's a writer who follows me, and I follow the writer too... but I never knew she wrote anything, and decided to check it out. Turns out it's similar scenarios from this book, just with different names.
Everyone who I follow has their own unique plots, characters, and storylines for their Erik/N'Jadaka stories and that's what makes theirs different from mine and everyone else's... and the stories are still lit as fuck, honestly.
But to take key parts from my book, preferably from my first and second chapter is weak as hell. If you need bomb ass word play, don't steal it from anyone else.
I won't drop her username or the name of her story because I don't wanna put her on the spot like that or shine a lot of light on someone stealing someone's work, and I really hope she's reading this, because if it keeps happening, then I gotta come to you woman to woman with screenshots, sis. Cause I have them from your story and my own to compare and your story is now in my private library. So anytime you update, I'm seeing if my shit from chapters 3-12 will be in there love😂😂

So yeah, stealing ideas; ESPECIALLY if it's word for word? Isn't cool or a move that I'd continue to make. A lot of us work hella hard to get these ideas, and to have someone take them and try to make them their own in the slightest like we won't know is really fucking pathetic.
