I woke up to Talia's loud music. I dragged myself out of bed, covering my ears. I was literally about to go deaf. I walked to the kitchen to see Talia, dancing to the music while making waffles.

"Morning!" She cheered.

"Way to wake someone up." I said.

"I knew that would wake you." She laughed.

"You need help?" I asked,

"I can make anything else. Eggs? Bacon? Anything." I offered.

"Yeah, make some bacon, I'll get the eggs out for you."

"Okay thanks loser." I smirked.

She turned around and pinched me.

"Bitch." She said. I began laughing.

"You love me."

"Sadly."

"So what are the plans for today?" She asked.

"Well, I don't start working till next Monday,"

Before I moved here, I made sure I had a job. I didn't want to be looking for a job when I got here. I got a job at a Dr. Costa's office. I basically just file the medical records and organize everything. It pays good. Plus, my dad will be sending a check of $500 every month.

I constantly tell him he doesn't have too, but he says that he's doing it to make sure I'm on my feet over here, that I'm not constantly stumbling.

I continued to talk,

"Until I have enough, I'll start looking for a car."

"You can borrow mine for now." Talia said.

"But what will you drive in?"

She laughed.

"Briella, I have two cars."

"What the heck?"

"Briella, don't you remember that car I had in Maryland?"

"Yeah, but isn't it back over there?"

"Oh my god Briella, I drove over here. I didn't fly out here. I drove with that car. And with my money, I got another car."

"Oh shit." I said.

"Thanks Talia. I really appreciate all of this."

"Like I said, you're my bestfriend!" I laughed and cracked the eggs, letting the yolk slide into the bowl.

"But yeah, I think I just want to drive around Portland. Get used to my new surroundings."

"Oh yeah that's great, do you want me to come with or you want to go alone?"

"Oh I could definitely use the company." I said.

"Yes!" She squealed. She continued on with the chocolate chip waffles.

I looked at Talia, she was very pretty.

She had dirty blonde hair, with big green eyes.

Talia and I are very different from eachother.

Me, on the other hand, I have dark brown hair that goes up to my shoulders, blue green eyes, my skin is very light, very pale.

Talia has always been very cheerful and happy.

I'm happy of course, but I'm just not at all cheerful at times.

"Briella?" Talia asked.

"Huh?" I jumped.
