"Can I drive?" Renata asked Jacob once they were at the garage.

"Do you have a licence?" He asked, arching his eyebrows.

"Of course I do" Renata took her wallet from her bag and took out her licence.

"This is from Mexico" Jacob pointed out.

"Yeah, so? I have a licence" Renata said as she aimed to get in front of the bike.

"It's not valid here" Jacob told her as he climbed on the bike.

"You are not valid here" Renata muttered as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Just get up" Jacob told her and she did reluctantly.

The ride to the First Beach was quiet. Renata just enjoyed the feeling of the air in her face. Jacob smiled at the thought of not worrying about Bella anymore. He didn't know how much time would it take for him to get over her, but he felt confident on it.

"We're here" Jacob said once they arrived to the beach. He helped Renata off the bike and to the sand like stones. It was chilly but Renata couldn't feel the cold in her face, the shifter gene inside her that gave her powers worked as if she was a shifter herself, making her fast, strong and unusually warm to touch.

"Aren't you cold?" Jacob asked, crossing his arms above his chest.

"No" Renata said and laughed at his face, his nose had become red, "so you want a jacket? I brought a spare one"

"You do know that it won't fit me, right?" Jacob told her.

"It fits enormous in me, it will fit you. It was my brother's" Renata told him, feeling a pang of guilt in her chest as she took Daniel's old sweatshirt and gave it to Jacob. Jacob put it on, it fitted a little big for him but it was comfortable.

"Isn't your brother angry that you take his things?" Jacob asked and laughed.

Renata sat on a nearby rock. Yes, Daniel always got angry when she took his stuff. Renata specially liked his sweatshirts, she could usually just wear them with just a pair of shorts underneath and still have it hanging just above her knee. But she guessed it didn't matter anymore, she had taken all her brother's sweatshirts and shirts with her, except Claudio's.

"No, he doesn't" Renata answered with a sad smile.

"That's nice of him, I would get angry if my sisters ever touched my stuff" Jacob told her, not noticing the pain in Renata's eyes.

He sat down next to the short girl. They looked at the water, both in their own thoughts. After a while, Jacob scooted to be closer to Renata, she didn't notice, it almost seemed as if she was lost. Her eyes were starting to glow, but Jacob thought it was because of the angle of the light. In fact, Renata had started to hear people nearing, but she didn't recognise them.

"Jacob!" They heard someone yell. Both teens turned around to look at the two other teenagers coming towards them.

"Friends of yours?" Renata asked as she turned her eyes back to its original colour.

"Yeah, Quil and Embry" Jacob told her and he stood up before helping her to do so too.

The three boys embraced in a hug while Renata stood awkwardly next to them. That until Embry noticed her standing there. He smiled and offered his hand to shake.

"I'm Embry" he told her and she smiled.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Renata" the brunette girl said as she shook Quil's hand too.

"For a moment I thought this was the Bella girl you talked about" Quil said and Renata raised her eyebrows. Bella? Seriously? She left her house to avoid her and now it turns out that they knew her here too.
