Ayeshas POV

"What's up with you and Steph anyways? You guys are basically inseparable," Nellie pondered the question. I invited her to come to Cleveland with me or else I would have no one, Steph being busy getting ready for Game 6, of course. But I'm pretty sure she only came for Nick.

"I wish I knew," I mumbled under my breath. Nellie looked at my confusingly and I couldn't just hide my feelings anymore. "Nellie, I have to tell you something."

"Omg, you slept with him, didn't you?!" I gasped and hit her arm. She giggled and stopped us in our tracks. "I'm kidding. You like him, I know."

"How'd you know?" She raised her brow with a smirk on her face. "I do. I really like him Nellie. He just makes me feel things I've never felt." I stopped for a moment. "But the only problem is I'm not sure how he feels about me."

"Come on, you can't be serious Ish. Of course he likes you. I mean you're you! He'd be crazy not to." I sighed and sat on the nearest bench.

"How do I know for sure? We've been hanging out for a month now and yet I am totally clueless to how he feels. He hasn't even made a move on me," I emphasized.

"Wait, I was only partly kidding about y'all sleeping together." I gave her a look. "You mean you guys haven't even kissed?!"

"Well not when we were in our right state of minds. And that's surprising to you?" I was now lost in my mind.

"Okay, just listen. If you like him you need to make a move on him, otherwise you will always be left wondering. You got in you Ish." I gave her a toothless smile thinking deeply about her words. Make a move on him. She got up and held her hand out. "But we have to go. I have to give Nick some good luck before the game tomorrow," she winked.

"Okay I did not need to know that," I sighed before getting up.

...................

Nellie gave me a smirk before walking out of our hotel room. I mentally gagged thinking about what was going through her mind. It wasn't too late into the night but I was tired as heck.

I went to the vending machine to get a couple of snacks and a water. I dragged my feet back to my hotel room feeling my eyes get tired. After eating away I plopped into bed pulling the covers over my body. Before you know it, I was already snoozing.

Stephens POV

I knocked on her hotel room patiently waiting. It's been a minute, and she still wasn't answering. I sighed and took a couple steps walking away.

"Stephen?" I looked over at her as she rubbed her eyes. I started to walk towards the door and I noticed her hair was up in a knot and she was in more of a comfortable type of clothes.

"Did I wake you? I can go-," I started, but she cut me off. She opened the door wider.

"No, it's okay. Come on in." She yawned as I passed through, and I couldn't help but think how cute she was when she was tired. "I would offer you something to eat or drink, but all I have is that pack of m&m's but it's yours if you want it."

"Nah, I'm alright. Thanks though," I chuckled. She plopped back into her bed and pulled the sheets over her. I took my shoes off and slid in next to her. "Let's play 21 questions," I said randomly.

She chuckled at me. "Okay, ask away." I thought for a second, trying to think of the perfect question. "Whats taking you so long?" She smiled.

"This gotta be deep. Hmm, ok. Weirdest craving?" She looked up at me and chuckled.

"That hit me real deep. Let's see. It's probably dipping my fries in pickle juice or mixing cereals together."

"That's literally the most disgusting thing I've ever heard. But hey, you learn something new everyday." I protested.

"You can't judge until you try it. So when we get back to California that's what we're doing," she smiled. "I'm serious too."

"Okay, okay fine. But I don't know how you're gonna get that down my mouth." She gave me a small smile before fluttering her eyes shut.

"Color?"

"Red or purple."

"Beach or Mountain?"

"Depends on my mood."

"JB or JT?"

"Gross, neither ."

"What do you want to be remembered as?" She thought for a moment.

"Someone who always made people happy. Put a smile on their face, make their day." I couldn't help but admire her. She was the perfect person. I thought to myself she sure as hell was on the right track. She never fails to make me happy. She yawned before readjusting her body. We laid there for a few minutes in silence.

"I should probably go. Tomorrow's a big day," I said, even though I had no desire to get up.

"That's right. You're gonna become a world champion because remember you're a god on the court." That's one of the things she said when we first met.

"And you're here to celebrate with me." Just before I was about to get out of bed she stopped me.

"Stephen, wait," she said in a faint tone. She slowly leaned up and kissed me gently on the lips, taking me by surprise. "Goodnight."
