   The guard exited the dungeon cell room. Hyunslug turned back around to face his wall, but a voice spoke up.

"Hyunjin?" Hyunslug whipped around and noticed that the snail had finally moved. It was indeed Chenle.

"Chenle? You're alive?"

"It's been a while, eh? Six years am I right?"

"How are you alive? They don't feed you, do they?"

"They feed everyone at the same time by releasing water and orchid petals into the walls with a special pipe system. Moss starts to grow within an instant and the orchid petals help increase the growth."

"You've always been the smart one, Chenle."

"Mm."

"Don't they know you're alive? Your shell isn't black, yet."

"What do you mean, yet?"

"I-I uh-"

"Well they don't know how to read snail shells yet. The guard slugs are the dumb ones."

"Doesn't the king know? Minghao?"

"He doesn't care."

"Ah."

"Why don't they just let you go? It's been six years."

"The snails have forgotten about me. The slugs don't see the point in releasing me."

"Chenle?"

"Have you had a crush on anybody?"

"Well..do you know Lucas?"

"What's his slug name? He was in our body lengthening class in Translug school, right?"

"Yeah - Slughei."

"Oh I thought you had a crush on Sicheng?"

"Oh, Slugcheng was my old crush. Now he's with someone else."

"I don't know. I don't care about him anymore. Anyways, who's your crush?"

"Well..do you remember Slugmin? He was in our Slug dieting class."

"Oh, yes."

"He doesn't seem to remember me. And even worse.."

"Minghao? As in, Xu Minghao? As in, the King Xu Minghao?"

"Yeah. How did you think I ended up here?"

"I thought you stole something, to be honest."

"I caught them kissing."

"Yeah! And Slugmin was the one who leaned in first."

"Poor you."

"I wonder if he'll like you back one day? Maybe his crush will go away."

"Wait shh! The guards are coming!" Chenle curled back up to his previous position, and Hyunslug turned to face the wall.
