Yellow.

Blue.

Both were almost opposite colors. They were in contrast with each other and hard to blend well. But for some reason Veronica couldn't help but think otherwise. She still had this small light, barely hangin on. The more she thought about it, the more her heart sank.

A fluffy ball of sunshine that seemed like she was filled with dreams.

A conflicted girl with uncertainty about her future.

It seemed ridiculous when she thought about it. Of all people that she would get interested in, why was it Heather McNamara? She didn't know honestly. She doesn't know how to calm her heart down.

Veronica stared at the notebook before her, a date already written above. She was hesitant to write an entry about her forbidden feelings yet her heart and mind wanted to. Giving into temptation and emotions, she grabbed her pen tightly and started writing.

Everything suddenly came to her like a flash.

"What do I like about Heather?" Her mind was messier than her unkept brown hair. "There's just too much, I don't know where to start!"

"You know what, whatever's whatever." A tired sigh slipped out of her lips before she started to write.

"Heather McNamara. Head cheerleader, her dad is loaded; he sells engagement rings. She has the brightest clothes, the brightest smile, the brightest heart. She's a girl with such radiating personality to the point I couldn't help but feel attracted to it."

Veronica couldn't help but smile and feel her cheeks burn. It was true, McNamara sure was something else.

"Have I ever told you how adorable her laugh is? Whenever she hears a corny joke, she'll half-heartedly giggle. Or possibly laugh hard when she finds it so bad to the point it's good. I just couldn't get enough of her bouncy and uplifting cheery self."

A giggling McNamara suddenly slipped into her mind which caused the brunette to giggle to herself.

"I love her from the very bottom of my heart, heck, she is the reason why I wanted to join their clique."

Veronica grinned to herself but it was short-lived. Realization struck her sooner than she wanted it to be. Sighing, she wrote a fragment of her thought down.

"If only she knows how I love her. How I want her. But she doesn't. And that's okay because she's too good for a person like me. She's a dream I can never achieve. "

She softly laid her pen down, her hand gripping on her shirt. Veronica knew well that she shouldn't have these feelings towards Heather. They were girls and best friends on top of that.

The female stood up from her seat then slowly stretched her arms and back. Her feet sloppily walked towards her bed as she jumped onto it. The comfy mattress was sucking her in, her eyelids starting to get heavy. She was about to drift off to sleep not until her phone rang.

She groaned and rolled herself over to grab her phone. She lazily answered it and managed to greet the person on the other line.

"Who's this?" The sleepiness in her voice was evident which was accompanied with a yawn.

"Veronica, it's me." The brunette's head jolted upwards the moment she heard the voice. It belonged to the one and only Heather McNamara. The way she spoke sounded like she has been sobbing, her voice was about to break any second. Veronica knew what this meant and couldn't help but feel extremely worried.

"Heather? What's wrong?" She asked in a calm yet concerned way. She felt her heart ache when she heard the blonde sound so fragile that she might shatter at the smallest thing.
