I haven't gone to college in three days now, and my mother's getting worried about me.
"If I ever come across that Taehyung, I will kill him with my own hands." She said, gritting her teeth. I didn't tell her what was wrong, but she assumed that it was related to him, and dare I say she was right.
"Ma, you'll go to jail." I spoke, rolling my eyes. I was laying on the couch, watching a k-drama to feel better, but the cute couples were only making it worse.
"Listen, you need to get out of the house and find a guy instead of watching k-dramas and crying over Nam Joo-hyuk." She said, "Although I admit he's pretty hot." She added, drooling over my man.
I scoffed and continued watching the show. My phone beeped and it was a text from Jungkook. I had cut off my friends entirely because I didn't want to answer a bunch of questions.
"Sora, come to meet me in the park near your house in ten minutes." Read the message sent by him. As much as I wanted to stay on the couch, I knew I had to face the situation. So I lazily got up and went to my room to change into an oversized sweatshirt and pants.
I grabbed the keys to my car and got out of the house, much to my mother's surprise. I drove to the park he had asked me to come to and parked my car near the gate. I got out to see him standing there, holding two sticks of ice-cream in his hands.
"You've missed three days of work in college, and the exams are approaching." He said, handing me the ice-cream cone.
I've always been a good student; completed my assignments on time, had good grades, didn't get in trouble and all that jazz. But recently, I couldn't get myself to focus on anything but the image of Taehyung and Mina together.
"I know, Kook. I'll be back tomorrow." I said as we walked inside the park.
He took my hand and dragged me to the swing, knowing how much I love them. I giggled as he pushed the swing and it flew higher and higher in the sky.
After we had played in the park like little kids for over an hour, I started to get hungry.
"I want food." I spoke as I tugged at his shirt. He chuckled and took me to a restaurant nearby. I felt like a high school girl who had come on a date with her boyfriend. Jungkook had been very affectionate and didn't try to embarrass me even once, which was very unlike him.
"Sora, can I ask you something?" He asked after we had ordered a bunch of food. I nodded, flashing a smile at him. I felt happy being with him after a very long time.
"Is something going on between you and Taehyung?" He questioned and my smile immediately dropped. I didn't want to talk about it but I had to tell him at some point. I stayed silent for a while and then taking a long breath in, I told him everything, from the beginning to the day we parted.
He didn't say a word after I had finished talking. He kept on looking at me; he was hurt from what I could tell. He brought his hand across the table to hold mine, his thumb lightly caressing my knuckles. I smiled at him and he smiled back.
"Are you hurt?" He asked.
"I am, but I'll be fine." I answered, hoping that it was true.
"Are you?" I questioned, catching him off guard.
Did he really not think I would know about his feelings?
"You knew?" He asked, a blush creeping across his cheeks. He looked cute and I couldn't help but smile.
