Taehyung's POV

I woke up in an unfamiliar setting. It was not entirely dark outside which helped me to get out of bed. As soon as I got up, I saw a body lying on the ground.

It was a girl.

Sora.

What had happened?

I looked around and realized I was at her house; in her room, on her bed. There was a picture of her holding an ice cream cone on the nightstand next to a picture of a group of boys. I smiled at it, looking around to find more pictures of random dudes hanging on the wall.

The room was a mess, with clothes scattered on the floor and books lying around in every corner. She was sleeping in the middle of the floor, making it harder for me to move without disturbing her.

I somehow reached the door and was about to leave when I heard a groan.

Shit, I woke her up.

I turned around to see her staring at me before she jumped up and hit her head on the edge of the nightstand.

I immediately rushed over to her and picked her up before placing her on the bed. She froze in my arms as if she was trying to comprehend the situation.

I began to search for some ointment or medicine that I could give her to ease the pain. She called out to me and I couldn't make eye contact with her. I felt guilty for being there, and for disturbing her in the middle of the night. And I was also terrified that if I look into her eyes, it would get harder for me to leave.

She grabbed my face and turned it towards her. I looked at her and noticed the bags under her eyes, indicating the lack of sleep.

Was it because of me?

She stared at me for a moment before slapping me as hard as her little hands could. I stayed still, not understanding what to do next. I looked at her with my mouth gaping, wondering what the hell was going through her mind.

I could look into her eyes and see how hurt she was. Her eyes made her an open book, one that was only for me to read.

I couldn't bear it. I couldn't help but melt under her touch, my heart stinging when she simply looked at me. I wanted to hold her in my arms. I wanted to sing her to sleep.

That's when I made the mistake I had been scared of making. I told her what I felt. I told her that I needed her and I watched her as she listened to every word I spoke, her eyes softening as I went on.

"You let me go, Taehyung." She spoke and my heart felt like it was being stabbed a million times.

I did let her go, and I'd have to do it again.

So I apologized and walked away, yet again, leaving her teary-eyed.

"Taehyung, baby, are you home?" I heard as I stepped foot in the house.

I watched as Mina came out of the room wearing only my shirt. She came closer and wrapped her hands around my neck.
