James would get Lily flowers every time he asked her out. This happened all the time. All the time.
One day, Lily had gotten an angry letter from Petunia, about how embarrassing Lily was, how Petunia couldn't bring her friends and boyfriend home because of her freakish sister.
Lily hid herself behind a tree to cry. But as usual, James managed to find her, holding a bunch of petunias.
"Hey Ev-"
Lily immediately started crying again. James hesitantly sat down next to her, and asked what was wrong. She told him all about her sister.
That will go down in history as the day Lily and James became friends.
