(This is just another short filler chapter, but we're getting close to the good parts)

Laken hated being woken up when she didn't have to go to school. And she really hated it while she's having a dream about her celebrity crush, Jensen Ackles. But yet here she was, in the passenger seat of her boyfriends car, her twin brother and Scott unhappily sitting in the backseat.

Derek had woken her up and they were all on the way to Deaton's because Derek believed that the older male could possibly tell them what she was. She was a werewolf, and she had the claws and the golden eyes, but she shot a purple light from her hands.

"Why do we have to be up so early?" Stiles wined for about the eight time since they picked Scott up.

"Because you should learn what she is." Derek didn't look up from the road, one hand on the steering wheel and the other resting on Laken's thigh.

"I'd rather have a full twelve hours of sleep then learn about which supernatural creature my twin sister is." Stiles mumbled, as they pulled up to the clinic.

"Well, we're here so suck it the fuck up." Laken mumbled, getting out of the car.

Derek's fingers interlaced with Laken's as the four of them walked inside.

"Finally, you guys are here." Deaton said as came in the back. "From the things that Derek told me, I figured out what you were."

"Then what is is?" Scott asked, crossing his arms.

"I believe that Laken is a guardian angle." Deaton answered.

"I'm a what?" She asked, moving a little closer to see if she had heard him right.

"Your a guardian angle." He repeated himself.

"What the hell is a guardian angle?" Stiles asked, "Laken nothing like an angle. Have you seen how much she abuses me?"

"A guardian angle is an angle that is assigned to protect  and guide a particular person, group, kingdom or country. Belief in guardian angles can be traced throughout all antiquity." Deaton started to explain to them. "The concept of angles that guard over particular people and nationalities played a common roll in Ancient Judaism, while a theory of tutelary angles and their hierarchy was extensively developed in Christianity in the fifth century by pseudo-Dionysus the Areopagite. "

"The theology of angles and tutelary spirits had under gone many refinements since the fifth century. Belief in both the East and the West is that guardian angles serve to protect whichever person God assigns them to and present prayer to God on that person's behalf." Deaton finished.

"So explain the purple light that came from her hands and shoved me across the ice rink." Derek told him.

"The purple light coming from her hands was because she was protecting Scott. She's Scott's guardian angel."

"Great, I'm gonna sprout wings and maybe even a halo." Laken rolled her eyes with a huff.

"You're not gonna get wings or a halo." Deaton chuckled, "But you do have to take this job seriously. God didn't choose you because you were weak, he chose you because you have the potential of keeping him safe."

(******)

"A fucking angel." Laken mumbled, walking into Derek's loft after dropping her brother and Scott off at Scott's to get some 'extra sleep'.

In reality, the two of them would eat leftover pizza, or whatever food they had left, and sit in the living room and play video games for the rest of the day.

"I'm a fucking guardian angle."

"Baby, you'll be fine." Derek chuckled, going into the kitchen to make them lunch. "At least you now know what you are."

"Yeah, an angle who shoots purple fucking lights out of my hands!" She exclaimed, throwing her hands into the air.

"Don't think about it."

"It's all I'm gonna be thinking about!" She placed her hands on the counter and used it to boost herself to sit on the counter.

Derek playfully rolled his eyes, walking to stand between her legs. "I think it's kind of sexy."

"Hmm, is that right?" She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, letting her fingers slid into the hairs on the back of his neck.

"Mmmhhh."

The two of them pressed their lips together in a  sweet, passionate kiss, well that was until a growl broke them apart.

"What was that?" Derek laughed.

"I'm starving." She told him, pushing him away. "Now, get your sexy ass to making me food."

"Your bossy."

"I'm always bossy." She winked at him. "You're gonna have to get used to it if we're gonna be together for awhile."

"Yeah, well I'm in love with every aspect of you."

"I love you too."
