Amethyst's POV

Another day I didn't have to rise the sun, another night I didn't have to set the sun, another night I felt lost. What was I meant to do? I usually set the sun and rise it, but Millard said that wasn't needed. So, I changed into my pyjamas and sat downstairs while everyone watched the movie. However I read my favourite book, Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire. Best book of all thew series in my not so humble opinion.

At some point in the movie, I looked up and saw myself sat screaming. That was lunch time. Following the ray of light, I saw that the movie was coming from Horace! Prophetic dreams! Horace knew about my breakdown and didn't even tell me! And to think I was going to befriend him! Well, not anymore. I got up, slamming my book shut as I stormed off upstairs. Miss P tried to grab my arm but I pushed her away and ran to my room. I was lied to. All day someone knew what would happen to me and yet never was told.

I sat in my room and stared at the wall until it burnt. Great, another scorch mark. Ugh, I hate this place. No one called me for reset, luckily, and I listened as the children rushed around to get ready for bed. There was a knock at the door and Claire peeked through but I just yelled at her, "Go away! Leave me alone!" She ran off crying and I immediately felt guilty but didn't do anything about it.

Soon there was silence and I sighed before relaxing my crossed arms and falling back into the bed. Knock knock. Fuck me sideways, can't I get any peace? "Who is it?!" I whisper shouted in annoyance. "Just that Scottish prick next door." Enoch chuckled. I couldn't help but smile and used my foot to pull the door handle down and let him in. There was something in his hand that I couldn't see properly.

"Whatcha got there?" I took the thing from him to find it was a clay man with a hairless doll head and a cut in its chest. "So this is your peculiarity? Making creepy ass dolls?" I smirked, setting the doll on my bedside table. Enoch rolled his eyes and sat on the floor, taking the doll and something from his pocket. "Partly yes, mostly no. Just look." I sat with him and watched as he placed a... Mouse heart?.... Into the doll's once empty chest.

Enoch's POV

I put the heart in the homunculi as Amethyst watched me curiously. Her hair tickled my neck, that's how close she was. For some reason, I wanted we to rest her head on my shoulder and snuggle into me. Wait what?! Snap out of it, O'Connor! I told myself before putting the doll to my lips and whispering something almost inaudible to it. "Go get the flower in my room."

The doll sprung to life and Amie squealed slightly in shock, making me half smile and laugh. It then ran out the room and I turned to her. "That's my peculiarity." I smiled. She quickly went through what just happened then asked, "You're a dead riser?" Well, that's a first. "Yeah, how'd you guess?"
"Doesn't matter. How long can you bring something to life for?"
"Depends. Why?"
"Doesn't matter. Is that all you came to show me."

I suddenly remembered my real reason to see her. "No actually. The bird wanted to talk to you about your outburst earlier. Wants you in her office in five minutes." She nodded and looked as the homunculi came back with a rose of an odd colour. I had Fiona grow it especially.

She took the rose and smiled, "It's beautiful

She took the rose and smiled, "It's beautiful. I've never seen a rose this colour." A small smirk appeared on my face as I stood up, homunculi in hand. "Yeah, well. You've got a bird to see and I've got some stuff to do in my own room. Bye."

Amethyst's POV

Enoch left and I sighed a little before putting the flower in my hair and walking out the room. I had no idea where Miss P would be, but a strange feeling in my stomach told me it would be her office. So, my feet took their own path and we headed down the stairs.

Once at the bottom, I walked down the hall and into the dining room. Miss P's office was one of the three doors on the left of the room. However my journey was help up as a certain redhead without gloves on pinned me to the wall. To any normal person and/or peculiar, their clothes would've burnt and they would've too. But being a superior version of Olive, my body lapped up the flames that threatened to singe its protective layer.

"You listen to me." Olive whispered, digging her nails into my shoulders. I tucked some hair behind my ears and nodded. "Enoch is mine so don't try getting into his pants. He doesn't like you, got that?!" I wanted to wheeze with laughter. She really thinks I would be into a guy like Enoch O'Connor? Ha! As if. I think. Wait, nope, I know! Shut up, stupid brain!

A small smirk graced my lips as I answered her. "Oh, sweetheart, did no one tell you? Enoch doesn't like you. Mhm, he said you're clingy and annoying. But of course, I shouldn't have said anything." Somehow I made myself look regretful and look her in the eyes. Almost instantly her hands were off me and she looked upset. "He- He really thinks that?" I nodded, my head hitting the wall gently. "I'm sorry, Pumpkin. Maybe f you just loosen up a little? Give him his space?"
"Yeah... Okay... Sorry, Amethyst."
"It's fine, hun."

She walked away after that, leaving me to my own thoughts and inwards laughter. I love lying to the innocent!

Wait what? Since when? Ugh, this place is messing with me.

Okay so something happened to my original version of this meaning I had to rewrite it and then things wouldn't work and I'm just fucking sick of this crappy thing I call life so sorry this is shitty. *breathes and smiles* Hope you enjoyed this chapter! Cya in the next one; bai!
