I stared out my window at the other children - Enoch included! - went to play what I overhead as 'Raid The Village.' Not only was I curious about this game, but I also felt the need to ask Miss P if she knew about the game. So, as involuntarily as the last time I was sat up here, my feet walked me out of my room and down the stairs to find Miss Peregrine.

Lucky for me, the bird was sat in the living room, reading a book called 'The Da Vinci Code.' I stood in the doorway for a moment, leaning on its frame, before she spoke and startled me. "Why aren't you with the other children, Miss Papilon?" Was she really asking me that? Was she so stupid that she didn't notice my mental breakdowns when I was around over three of the kids at once. "We both know I can't handle that, Miss P. I just wanted to ask if you knew about the children's game. Raid the Village?"

"Yes I know about Raid the Village. And as much as I disapprove of it, I do not mind because everything is right again the next day." Her words had sense to them. Once she resets the loop, everything will be back how it should be and no one gets hurt. Makes sense. "Alright. Just making sure because they're leaving now."

She nodded and I bit my lip as I left. She's nothing like Miss L was. Miss L would understand when something was wrong with one of her charges and would try to fix it. Miss Peregrine... She doesn't care. Well, not with me anyways. It's clear to see how much she worries about Bronwyn or Claire or even Enoch. But not me.

Because I found her, not vice versa.

Miss Peregrine's POV

I watched as Amethyst left the room. There was something about her - the way she hunched over, the way her feet dragged slightly on the floor, how she bit her lip nervously - that made me worry.

"Amethyst?" I called as she nearly shit the door. I never use a child's first name unless it's important. She seemed startled and opened the door again, poking her head through the gap. "Yeah, Miss P?" She asked, her voice cheery but her eyes not. "Are you okay, dear? Emotionally?" Miss Papilon pondered on her answer before finally nosing a little, "Yes, Miss Peregrine, I'm fine."
"Alright, dear. Off you go."
"Thank you, Miss."

She left after that and I returned to my book within a book. It wasn't really The DaVinci Code, but was actually a book of all my past peculiar children. Charlotte, Maria, Charlie, Maximus. (Three aren't aren't real children but Charlotte is from the books) A tear came to my eye as I remembered what happened to each of them. "I'm so sorry, my dear children." The words left my lips before I could stop them, my hand on the page before I could control it.

Enoch's POV

We all separated for Raid The Village. I headed for the graveyard, moving quickly to the very back and reviving some skeletons. "Go and raid the village. Retrieve anything that Amethyst Papilon would like and bring it to the cliff by the beach." Why Amethyst? She's not here, of course, why get her something?

The skeleta ran into the village, grabbing whatever they could, whilst I went and sat on the cliff by the beach. That song Amethyst was singing on her first day here stuck in my head and I thought about its lyrics. Who do you think you are, Enoch O'Connor. Running round leaving scars. Only on animals. Collecting your jar of hearts, I can only imagine her being psychic at this point. Tearing love apart. Has a point. You're gonna catch a cold, Huh? From the ice inside your soul. Oh! Don't come back for me, why not? Don't come back at all. But I lo- No!!

Sighing, I lay back in the grass and looked at the sky, shielding my eyes from the sun. This girl is driving me mad for reasons I don't even know!

Amethyst's POV

Seeing as the other kids were in the 1943 village of Cailrnholm and I'm from the present, I decided to not only refresh the loop but also check out the village's shops. I was too weak and tired two weeks ago, but I'm good now.

I looked down at my outfit. It was a black dress with a while collar and black flats. "Too 1940's." My voice startled me due to sounding a little like Horace. Grabbing my backpack from the back of the wardrobe, I searched until I found my black velvet romper with the roses embroidered on either side. Then I found my faux leather jumper jacket and a pair of ankle zip up boots. "Much better." I smiled, looking in the mirror.

That's when I noticed it. I wasn't angry or nervous or anything yet my eyes were glowing an angry Amber colour. Like the traffic lights but much much brighter and held more secrets. "What is wrong with you?" I whispered, shutting my eyes and rubbing them. They didn't change when I looked again so I searched for the contact lenses I use when this happens.

They were right at the bottom of my bag and I only had two sets left. "Fuck. You." I growled angrily. There's no way I can get more now! Sighing, I dismissed the thought and looked back to the mirror. "What the First Lady?" My eyes we normal! Groaning, I put the contacts on the bedside table and grab my purse. It had any money if managed to get while making the journey to Wales. £75.34 to be exact. People are so kind and caring when they see a small girl crying her eyes out on the streets. Anyways, I rushed downstairs after shutting my door and nearly made it out the house when, "Amethyst! Amie, come play with us!"

Turning around, my hand still firmly on the door knob, I looked to see Claire, The Twins, Bronwyn, Fiona, Emma and Olive. It's cute that the twins hang with the girls. "E-Er... M-Maybe lat-ter, s-sweetie." I stuttered, mentally slapping myself. Claire looked upset, "Okay... Promise?" I nodded at her and she was lead away by everyone except Emma.

"You should really play with her more often. That back mouth has the teeth of a shark."
