"Are you sure you're ready for this cause we don't have to go if you don't want to?" I said taking a final glance in the mirror to make sure I looked good.
Tonight was the MTV Video Music Awards and I was taking Cyn with me to make our first public appearance together.
I'd never taken a date to anything important before and I was nervous as hell. Not for me, but for her. I didn't want her uncomfortable not even for a minute. If she gave me the word, we could forget this whole thing.
"Do I look as fat as I feel?" She said turning around to give me a full view of her gown.
I smiled, "You look gorgeous."
She walked up to me and pecked my lips, "Well in that case, I'm sure. Let's go."
I nodded, "You sure?"
"Are you embarrassed of me or something?" She asked with a hand on her hip.
"Of course not baby."
"So why you keep stalling? I said I'm fine, I wanna go."
"Okay baby," I said grabbing her hand, "let's go."
We went downstairs where's Bugz and Bully we're waiting on us.
"We ready to go?" Bully asked.
I nodded.
"Aww, don't y'all look nice!" Hen said coming out of the kitchen eating a bowl of ice cream.
"Thanks." I said smiling at her.
"I look fat?" Cyn asked her sister.
I guess me saying she didn't wasn't confirmation enough.
"Girl you look bomb, your pregnant ass glowing and shit!" Hen said gassing her.
She did look amazing though.
"I told you." I said to her squeezing her hand.
"Thanks, you don't look half bad either, Mr. GQ." She replied kissing my cheek.
"It's all for you baby." I said gently touching her chin.
"Okay Romeo and Juliet, let's go, you're due on the red carpet in ten minutes and we're thirty minutes away. We need to move." Bully teased us.
"Okay, Okay." I said.
We said bye to Hen and got in the SUV with Bugz and Bully who was helping Bugs he security tonight.
As we pulled up, I grabbed Cynthia's hand and turned to her.
"Baby, it's about to be complete madness out here so just stay close to me, okay?" I said.
