A month later...

"And this is my office." I said ending the tour that I was giving Mr. Myers, one of my long time clients.

"Wow, Cynthia. This place is huge and it's beautiful. Look a there, you got a perfect view of the LA River right here from your desk." He said taking a seat on the opposite side of me.

"Thank you." I beamed.

Today was my first day back at work since having Santana and it felt great to be back in the swing of things.

I'd convinced my assistant, Mya, to move out to LA to continue working with me and I had seven clients set up for meetings today, so I had tons of shit to do.

I missed Santana like crazy already seeing as he and I had been attached at the hip pretty much every day since his arrival, but I was determined to stay busy to keep my mind off missing his little cute self.

Mr. Myers and I spoke for about an hour or so about investments and new stocks he was interested in before he got up to leave.

I saw him out and went out to the lobby to check on Mya who was getting the office and her space set up.

"How's it going?" I asked her sipping a bottle of water.

She smiled, "It's going, I got all our files organized already. I've ordered more decor for out here. I've followed up with the rest of your clients to make sure they were still coming in and so far, we're still smooth sailing, for today anyway."

"Cool. I'm so happy you decided to join me out here on the West Coast." I admitted to her.

"So am I. I can't believe I was so nervous initially to come out here. Now that I'm here, I don't ever wanna go back to New York." She replied.

"Trust me, I get that. I was so scared when I first came out here, but I fell in love with it immediately. When I decided to move when I got pregnant, I was nervous too, but I knew hands down that I wanted to raise my son out here versus back home. It was a no brainer."

The elevators dinged catching both of our attention.

My next client wasn't scheduled to come in for another two hours so whoever this was was a walk in.

When Hennessy got off the elevator with my baby, I shrieked excitedly.

"Oh my goodness, hi handsome! Mommy missed her big man, yes she did!" I said in a baby voice as I grabbed him from her and smothered his face with kisses.
