David seemed to have drifted off after a few small sobs, leaving him unconscious with his face still buried in the pillow. Jack had gently guided him so that he was lying down, Jack still sitting on the edge of the bed and zoning out into the peaceful figure of the man he cared for so much.
"I would love to tell him how I feel, but that just does not seem to be in the cards for me... You saw how he reacted to that stupid kiss... I do not want to cause him anymore hurt," Jack sighed. He messed around with the covers a bit until David was nice and snug. He actually seemed to curl into the warmth the sheets provided him with. Jack couldn't help but smile a little at the adorable sight. "Besides, the only other loved one I have is Catherine, and the familial love I hold for her is nothing like what I feel for David." Jack explained.
