David's muscles relaxed, and his floppy ears seemed to droop.
"Hey, it's okay to vent sometimes, trust me, I should know, anyways, I personally don't think you're being immature! Some people are just... Terrible sometimes, even family members," David began. Jack seemed to shudder a bit at the implication but simply nodded in confirmation. "And I totally get it, receiving comfort from anyone, person or animal, is a surreal feeling that can help immensely every now and then, and while... The eventual loss of that person or animal will hurt, you shouldn't let that soil the efforts they put into trying to help you smile, instead you should look back on those memories in times of stress," David did his best to advise, feeling as if his whole argument was invalidated while being covered in fur.
"The point David is trying to make is, you are not being immature, as for the question itself, I have gotten frustrated at someone before for implying my... Primary source of comfort may want nothing to do with me in the first place," Jack spoke up. David glanced at him with a curious head tilt.
"Primary source of comfort? Oh! You mean Catherine right?" David asked. Jack gave him a blank stare for a moment. His oblivious nature was exhausting sometimes.
   "Sure David," Jack grunted.
