He had on a white v-neck T shirt with dark blue skinny jeans that were ripped at the knees. His matching white converses stopped in front of my desk as I closed my notebook.
I immediately looked down at my own black converses, regretting wearing them.
"Cool shoes,"
His voice was smooth and raspy. Kind of like a smoker's mixed with someone who just finished screaming their lungs out on a rollercoaster.
I glanced up at him slowly, avoiding eye contact. My leg was bouncing up and down.
For God's sake, did I reallyhaveto be English partners with -
"Peter," he held out his hand. "...Kavinsky."
I looked at his hand then up at him and gave him a quick handshake.
His fingers practically swallowed mine whole and when he gave my hand a light squeeze, I nearly yelped.
I tucked a long piece of my dyed red hair behind my ear, and pushed my glasses up the bridge of my nose. They were always falling down.
"I, um, I know your name." I nodded slowly, gathering my things.
He stood there, a giant smile plastered on his lightly tanned face.
"Oh, great. Well I sure would love to know yours."
Everyone else was walking out of class, as I had just gotten up from my seat.
Of course you don't know my name. I remember thinking, instantly annoyed.
I looked up at him, placing one book bag strap on my shoulder. His body covered me completely, my face was just underneath his chest. Someone could've walked in and they wouldn't have even seen me standing there behind him.
His chocolate colored hair was in messy waves in the middle, a bit shorter on the sides. His eyes were the color of the night. Big and aware, except when he smiled; then you could hardly see them.
"Um, hello?" He waved a hand in my face.
I jumped. "Oh, sorry. My fault. Um...huh?"
The right corner of his lips lifted. "Uh, your name?"
I wanted to slam my face against the cement floor. "Right, sorry..."
"I mean I can guess your name, that's always fun."
"Uh, n-no..."
"Let's see," He took a few steps back, placing a hand on his chin as if thinking really hard. "...Janice! You totally look like a Janice."
