"Just stay quiet and don't say a word." I hissed at Peter while my best friend made her way to our table.
"Uh, I can talk as much as I want. She can't hear me." He stated.
I pushed my glasses up, grunted at him, and felt my stomach turn repeatedly.
"Kizzy! What on earth are you doing here?!"
Brynn was exceptionally loud.
"You're supposed to be home resting!"
I gulped. "I know... I um, was just... er..."
"Hungry." Peter finished, a huge grin on his lips.
I glared at him, then turned back to Brynn. "Right... um, I was hungry. And I just wanted to come here."
She shook her head. "Okay? But why are you all alone? You should've called me if you wanted to go out so bad."
Her dark blonde hair was tied back in a loose ponytail. She wore a black leather jacket with a The 100 merch T- shirt underneath. She gripped the strap of her light purple purse tightly on her shoulder.
"I know, I know. I was just... super hungry, ya know? And I couldn't stand it anym-"
At that moment, the waitress along with another waiter came to drop off all the food I had ordered. Peter's eyes went wide as he stared at all the orders in their arms and hands.
"Alright, your strawberry waffles, extra crispy bacon and omelet. Then the scrambled eggs with potatoes on the side, with the French toast you wanted, along with your chocolate chip pancakes with the extra whipped cream and sausage..." The waitress checked off what she had written on her notepad. "...plus your two chocolate milkshakes and the Southwest scramble, your Homestyle Corned beef hash, your raspberry pancakes with bacon on the side, the oatmeal with berries and extra nuts..."
