the brobecks - i'd be a punk if my mom would let me

: : :

The leather cladded teen stood nervously in front of the younger boy's house. He couldn't help but fidget with his keys once he gently knocked on the front door. The minute the door flew open, it revealed Ashton's mother, who looked as though she snorted about 10 pounds of crack. Luke couldn't help but chuckle internally at the whacky parent, who only greeted the blue eyed man with a simple 'hello' and let him inside.

"Mom? Is Luke here?" The soft voice of Ashton's called out, which only made Luke's heart melt and crumble into small pieces. The teenage boy couldn't even sound angry if he tried.

"Hey, curly" Luke grinned, running a hand through his partially greasy blond locks. He mentally cursed at himself for not putting at least a little dry shampoo before leaving, and wondered how dirty he must've looked in front of the younger boy.

"Hey, Luke. And stop calling me curly, it makes me sound like a kid" Ashton whined, rolling his eyes as he slipped on a bomber jacket and a pair of dark blue sneakers.

"You are a kid, Ashton. That's the point" Luke giggled. He fucking giggled. But he was honestly so smitten with the curly haired boy that he couldn't care less that he sounded like a complete school girl.

Ashton wished his mum a farewell before closing the front door and speed walking to Luke's car. The blond smiled, starting up the ratty old vehicle and driving out of Ashton's street. The two fell rather silent in the car, and didn't utter a single word to each other for the first few minutes.

"So, where are we headed?" Ashton gulped, running a hand through his messy curls. He was nervous, Luke could clearly see that, but he chose not to question him about it and kept his eyes on the road.

Luke smiled, placing a hand on the younger boy's thigh, "You'll see, curly"

"I swear I'm going to kill you if you don't stop tapping your foot like that"

The two young men had been sitting in front of a bus stop for the last hour now. Of course, the rattiest of the vehicles were going to give up soon enough, and Luke's car decided to on this very night.

How awfully pleasant.

"I can't help it. I hate waiting for so long" Luke mumbled, a small frown playing upon his lips as he looked over at the tiny boy. He was angry, Luke could obviously see that. But he didn't know why. He certainly didn't plan for this to happen, yet Ashton fell into a deep pit of silence. The type that killed you if you remained quiet for too long.

Luke had called a pick up truck to come by and eventually collect the broken down vehicle. But seemed as though it wasn't going to arrive any time soon, so the blond stood up from his sitting position and linked hands with Ashton, leading him across the street where a plethora of pubs and fast food restaurants were located.

"Where are we going? Luke you can't just leave your car here-"

"Shut up" Luke snapped, cupping a hand over the younger boy's mouth. He eyed the pubs intently, watching a group of males no older than Luke enter the loud, compacted area. Ashton scoffed, smacking his hand away as he continued to walk in the opposite direction of where Luke was going. The blue eyed blond sighed, resting his hands on his hips as he watched the curly haired boy travel back to Luke's car.

"What do you want from me? Huh? You can't obviously assume that it's my fault this shitty car broke down? Tell me, curly. What am I fucking doing wrong?!" Luke yelled, his hands crazily waving around in the air as he neared Ashton. The younger boy showed no sign of mercy, and clenched his fists, definitely leaving half moon shapes embedded into his palms.

"Don't you see what this is doing to you? You're ruining yourself, Luke" Ashton responded, his voice just above a whisper. "Were you seriously just about to take me to a pub, get me drunk and have a little fun? Is it you playing around with my feelings?"

Luke laughed. But it was a poisonous sound, and that was enough to send shivers down Ashton's spine. What was happening to him? Did he even know who he was anymore?

"What the fuck is your problem? Do you know what lengths I had to go to in order to actually plan all this? I was going to take you to a fucking Green Day concert, curly. And all you have to say to me is that I'm a drunk mess that doesn't give two shits about you" Luke spat, tears brimming his eyes as he glued his eyes to the floor. He couldn't stand to look at his angel anymore.

"I'd rather you take me nowhere. Not when you're barely sober enough for me, Luke" Ashton responded, barely acknowledging the fact that Luke's heart was breaking into tiny pieces as he left the blond all alone

And alone he stayed the entire night.

Hello funkers! Sorry for the long wait, I've been handling so much school work that it's become so stressful lately! The next chapter will come in a few days or so :-)
