I am meeting up with the Squad after school at Briar's house. Dylan and I are walking there right now, actually. Sage told all of the girls, other than Alex, about Lamar and Shelby kissing. We are going to break the news to Alex this afternoon, I don't think that she'll take it very well. Lamar and Alex used to be inseparable, I thought that they would be together forever. I am so angry at Lamar. How could he betray Alex like that?
Dylan and I let ourselves in, which might seem rude in most cases but this is basically a second home to us now. We walk up to Briar's room and see that everyone except for Alex is here already. It bothers me that Alex isn't here, she is usually the first to be here, it's just not like her.
"Hey girls." Briar and Sage say in unison.
"Hey, is Alex not here yet?" I ask them both.
"No, not yet." Briar tells us.
"I'm really worried about her." I explain. "I don't think she'll react well to the news about Shelby and Lamar."
"We'll see." Sage sighs.
"She'll be here in a minute anyway. She's been through worse things before, I am sure she'll get through this too, with our help." Briar tells us.
"Squad 5 Rule Number 3: Always have one another's back." Dylan quotes.
"Exactly." We all agree with her.
We sit in Briar's room for a long time, three hours to be precise. We do each others hair and makeup, and get dressed into matching outfits. And just do weird girly things.

But Alex never shows up. She didn't answer our calls or text messages. Now I am starting to panic. What if something happened to her? What if she's hurt? Maybe we should go looking for her.
