Theo's POV

I open my eyes slowly to peek if anyone's around.

None.

I took off my blanket slowly then got up, peeking to the curtain and see if anyone's outside.

Great.

No one's around.

I saw a black jacket and cap nearby, and so I grabbed it quickly and put them on.

A nurse passed by and I put my head down, adjusting my cap and pretended to look away.

She must be here, somewhere.

Shai is here.

I walk around once again and peeked in into rooms, but Shai is nowhere to be found.

I tend to ask the information teller but-

Its too risky.

I shook my head.

I dont care. I need to ask them about her. Use my acting skill and just pretend that I am not theo james, especially a patient in here.

My mouth was about to open when-

"She didn't have her family by her side" Whispered a nurse to another.

"She's on the edge of the cliff right now. She's dying."

My ears listen more as they continued talking,

"Do you know she's a celebrity?"

"Who?" Asks the other.

"Shailene Woodley"

I quickly turned around and faced them, face still covered down by my cap,

"Where is she?!" I shouted.

"Im sorry sir who are-"

"Her family. Now bring her to me right-"

"Okay sir." We three walked fastly to a room where she lies.

My eyes grew bigger as I seen her lying weakly on the bed.

Countless number of electrical devices are all over her tiny body.

This is just like my dream.

The. exact. same.

It took me three seconds until I realized that I couldn't move my feet.

It has been a month and there she finally is.

There she is.

It made me so hard to speak her name, and once it reached my mouth, it feels like I have not said her name in forever,

"Shai"

I felt tears bursting off my eyes as I walked to her.

"What happened?!" I asked the nurses.

"Her water- her water broke and-"

"The baby" I reminded myself.

"Is the- is the baby safe? Did she make it-" I ask.

"No"

"Then what happened to her why did you say that's she's in the middle of dying?!" I ask.

"She's in coma she's not going to-"

Just then, her heart suddenly beats faster.

I could see her gulping for breath, and then choking.

"Shai, shai" I take her hand and squeeze it tightly.

The nurses were shouting at each other then started calling for the doctor. I cried harder as her body trembles harder.

"Please, please."

And now it feels like its just me and her in our little world.

I squeeze her hand harder and place my shaking lips in it, while tears did not stop flowing from my eyes.

"Stay with me" I begged.

"Stay"

I felt myself being pushed back to out of the room. Everyone was shouting at each other, I didn't stop crying,

Ansel appears.

"Theo where have you been I have-"
he noticed the opened door and peeked in. His face went pale then he turned to me.

I shook my head and lean back to the wall. I felt myself breaking down.

if I lose her, i lost my everything.
