Silence hung in the air, and Jungkook was frozen in shock.
Taehyung took another deep breath.
"Jungkook, would you let me be your caregiver?"
The older pulled back from the embrace to see his dongsaeng staring wide-eyed at him, mouth agape.
Tears began to form in Jungkook's eyes, and Taehyung's heart started pounding.
Was that the wrong thing to say? Shit don't cry shit shit sh-
"YES!" Jungkook cried, throwing himself back into his hyung's arms.
Taehyung sat there in a happy trance, only snapping out of it when the younger hugged him even tighter than before.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you..." Jungkook squealed, wearing a grin identical to his new caregiver's.
"I'm going to protect you forever Kookie. I promise."
"I trust you...
