Lamelo

"Do you take Lamelo to be your wedded husband?"

I waited for Kai's response, but she was hesitating. She turned her head and stared into space.

"Are you alright baby?" I asked rubbing her hand.

"I can't marry you Melo."

The crowd gasped and whispered among each other.

She let go of my hand and sped off.

"Mekai please come back!" I shouted running after her.

Her tears smudged her makeup and she almost tripped.

She finally stopped and looked me in my eyes.

"I'm sorry, but I had a boyfriend this whole time. He's coming back in two days from the Caribbean."

"I didn't want to hurt you Lamelo," She tried to grab my hand.

I jerked back and held the tears that were threatening to leave my eyes.

I was getting played the entire time.

Mekai

I was shaking Melo to wake him up. He was sniffling in his sleep.

"Babe, babe, get up," I hailed.

"Why don't you go with your Caribbean boyfriend?" He mumbled in his sleep.

"Melo wtf are you talking about?" I asked puzzled.

"Why can't you stay with me Mekai, I can treat you better than him," Melo burst into tears.

I held back my laugh as I watched him cry in his sleep over a dream.

I took out my phone and recorded it. He wouldn't believe if I didn't have proof.

"I can get plantain at the store, just love me baby."

He continued sniffling until I began to tickle him.

"Yo kai tf," He said as he woke up.

"You were crying in your sleep," I chuckled.

"I was not."

"I have proof Melo," I laughed taking out my phone.

He watched the video and scrunched up his face.

"You brought onions into the room."

"Don't leave me Mekai," I mimicked him.

"I won't leave you baby," I reassured him.

"Two more days Mrs.Ball," He grinned.

"Call me Ms. Simmons for these last two days," I frowned.

How do you even be a wife?

"You should move in with me after we get married," Melo suggested.

"I think you're forgetting that we're minors sir."

"But you're my wife," He frowned.

"It won't work out Melo, I have school and you're always away for games."

"For your 18th birthday we're getting an apartment, deal?" He asked.

"We'll see," I shrugged my shoulders.
